Is it socially acceptable to like bossa nova if you're not a 35 year old woman?
>>71174415
If you are a humanities student in Brazil you are basically obligated to enjoy Bossa Nova

You're pathetic.
What year did you stop keeping track of mainstream music, /mu/?
>>71174380
2011 after Born This Way dropped

probably this year and 2016 because it's full of mumble rap and EDM

I never did. If you claim you do, you're either a teenager going through the obligatory phase or a poseur.
She is 1000x the artist Beyongay is.
She is a better singer.
She doesn't act like she's all that.
She's proud and confident about her race, culture and heritage, instead of being so insecure you just need to SCREAM to the world that HEY I AM BLACK.
She has recently been putting out visually, stylistically, and aesthetically perfect music videos.
She's WAY hotter than Beyongay (she isn't even hot).
Rihanna > Beyongay
EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T GET ANY (((GRAMMIES)))
If you disagree, I'll give you two options:
1) Leave /mu/ FOREVER
2) KILL YOURSELF
>She is 1000x the artist Beyongay is.
So a pop artist is a thousand times more of a pop artist than another pop artist?
>She is a better singer.
We both know this one isn't true, Beyoncé actually has range.
>She doesn't act like she's all that.
She's actually one of the most image-conscious and arrogant people in pop today.
>She's proud and confident about her race, culture and heritage, instead of being so insecure you just need to SCREAM to the world that HEY I AM BLACK.
This is pointless bait and speculation, derived to create an exaggerated emotional reaction, all and all an absolutely pointless sentence.
>She has recently been putting out visually, stylistically, and aesthetically perfect music videos.
This fundamentally does not, has not or will not ever even remotely matter.
>>71174493
>So a pop artist is a thousand times more of a pop artist than another pop artist?
You're merely generalising and focusing on the genre they belong to (they don't really even have a similar style btw, so I doubt it's right to carelessly englobe them under the same "pop" umbrella term), while there are other specific criteria that make an artist great.
>We both know this one isn't true, Beyoncé actually has range.
Who cares about range when your voice and songs sound like ass?
>She's actually one of the most image-conscious and arrogant people in pop today.
Didn't really state the opposite. She still doesn't act like she's all that COMPARED to beyonce.
>This is pointless bait and speculation, derived to create an exaggerated emotional reaction, all and all an absolutely pointless sentence.
It's not pointless. It's truth. It's basically the way they market and present themselves.
>This fundamentally does not, has not or will not ever even remotely matter.
It doesn't matter because you say so? OK, kid.
>>71174638
Took you way too long to reply I hardly care anymore, and yes it doesn't matter because I said so, my worldview and opinion is more important significant than yours.

Why does Iggy wear lifted shoes on his right foot?
the same reason anyone else does, he probably has one leg shorter than the other and would rather walk around with one bigger sole than like a penguin with a limp
grandpa's getting old and frail
I have a dislocated shoulder. I have a lot of cartilage lost in my right hip. Both knees are about to go. I have one leg about an inch and a half shorter than the other. When I was thirteen, I was run over by a big guy playing junior high football, and the right leg ended up a quarter-inch shorter. By my midtwenties, it was a half-inch. Then in the Eighties, I had no money and was taking packed economy flights everywhere, night after night. The combination of that schedule and a fall I took dancing on an amplifier left me with my spine twisted and a slight limp.

Hey guys, so recently i bought a new squre strat vintage modified 70's electric guitar, pic related, and when i tuned the open strings, i noticed that when i play further down the neck past the 12th fret mainly, i can hear that the notes are off, and the main thing that i dont under stand is that the 12th fret harmonics are on the 13th fret ! i never heard of this happening before but apparently everywhere i look says its an intonation problem, and to adjust the saddles on the bridge. but nothing i do moves the harmonics back to the 12 fret. please help! :(
Do you know how to intonate a guitar?
>>71173419
ive never done it before, but i researched it. as far as i know, you have to match the 12 fret harmonic to the open string by adjusting the saddles right? but my issue is that i have no 12th fret harmonic since its on the 13th fret
>>71173410
its not possible for the set up to be that fucked. maybe you just have no idea what you're doing.

Start with Ultraviolence, /mu/ seems to like it more than the others, so you might too.
My personal standout tracks from that album are:
- Cruel World
- Ultraviolence
- Brooklyn Baby
- Black Beauty
- Pretty When You Cry
