Is breakcore dead? also general thread.
I listened to that Venetian Snares album for the first time last night (the one in Hungarian) and really enjoyed it. That's the first I've listened to breakcore. I also listened to his "Winnipeg Is A Frozen Shithole" EP. Didn't really like that one too much, seemed pretty shallow. Just some distorted saw tooth sounding waves and basic drum breaks.

Every Venation Snares album is different. Songs About Cats is a fan favorite.
breakcore has been dead for a while now but it's fun stuff

>tfw stopped caring about music
>tfw only listen to classycool and old standbys if I'm in the mood for some plebeian garbage
>tfw neither curious about finding neither new music or old music I've never heard
Does this mean I'm old now
Listen to Remain In Light again faggot and come bach when you've discovered classical
I seriously hope you mean the superior Bach (Johann CHRISTIAN) lad...
>>71342871
>I'm old now
more like mentally handicapped.
Does /mu/ like death metal?
do you?
>>71192409
That stuff's too hard for me. I usually stick to my melodeath (the superior genre imo) with stuff like Alestorm and Disturbed
>>71192409
I've seen this exact thread on /b/ /mu/ /r9k/ /tv/ /x/ and so many other boards for the last three years. Just fucking kill yourself already fucking faggot nobody thinks you're funny and you're just reminding us that you're still with us shit posting behind that fucking computer fucking cheeto dust covered faggot

>>71342972
The sound of me mashing buttons in fruity loops, you pleb fuck.
Probably the worst album they've released.
Does /mu/ like black metal?
New twist in an old meme?
I like where he's going with this, nobody scare him off just yet
This album actually has quite alot of bm influence in it.
What does /mu/ think of Poppy?
>>71342834
idiotic project. if she wanted to make a statement on pop music. actually be a pop musician and the height of your frame start making parodies of yourself
>>71342834
whom?
>>71342834
Her videos are "weird" to normies, I think she's funny, but her music is just kinda ok, she does some cool covers, but otherwise she's alright
>these are the greatest male singers in rock

This
I hate that so many people try to take james seriously and find some point that hes trying to make with everything. His "artistic statements" seem purposefully ridiculous to me and thats whats fun about it. And between some of his live sets, his twitter and other fuckery its pretty obvious hes just jerkin around
>>71194253
Yeah people who try to get at some specific, articulable point (especially political critique) he's supposedly making are stupid academic cunts who shouldn't be allowed near art or music.
And yeah his work is funny as fuck.
Influence ≠ Quality
hell yeah OP.
good thing spiderland has both
Yes, that's what I've been saying for years. Pic unrelated?
How could she have continued her perfect album streak after releasing Vespertine? What should've Medulla been like to surpass it?
>>71342763
She's still on that streak, seeing as Vulnicura is her best album
>>71342830
What about Volta and Biophilia? They're not bad but they're definitely not perfect.
>>71342881
Neither was Medulla.
She may have had 'weaker' albums but she has yet to release A flat out bad one. She's been pretty damn consistent.
hey mu, where should i start with the birthday party?
>>71191837
The start.
Hits
They are one of the few really good bands where you could reasonably just have their greatest hits album
>>71191881
yea
none of their albums are really truly great as cohesive wholes so picking through their hits comp is probably the best way to go. they have a couple of great EPs too, i'd start with mutiny if you're going down that route
>disco garbage
hahaha best laugh of the day
haha go listen to Justin Bieber (more like FAGGOT bieber) kid this is REAL music my dad told me so
>>71342773
fuck up OP
Opinions on FJM?
His lyrics on the same level of intellectualism as Twenty One Pilots, his fans are all pretentious nu-males who think they're more clever than everyone else because they listen to a rich white capitalist money farm who cannot see the irony in his own words. It's actually laughable how gullible some people can be.
>>71342711
Is FJM another white artist the Jews are co-opting, corrupting and collapsing?
Beginning to look that way.
>>71342711
i love you honeybear is good because its just writing about himself and his troubles with his wife with some sincerity and humor mixed in.
pure comedy sucks because its josh talking an incoherent mess about politics and religion when it tough subjects for him that he still doesn;t understand.
I Love You Honeybear was pretty good
