I was thinking early in the morning about the song Fake Plastic Trees from The bends (1995) and while listening to these lines I think I got the meaning, it’s not literal, of course.
She looks like the real thing

My fake plastic love
Here Thom Yorke is talking about how much he likes his sex doll, but the love he feels is not real, that’s why he called it fake plastic love, he wants to get a real woman that’s why the doll wears him out.
And if I could be who you wanted

All the time, all time
In these lines he’s the voice of the doll, he’s a real poet and this is a sad song, the doll doesn’t want to be left alone but Thom can’t love her anymore, he can’t stand it and now he’s thinking of leaving her, probably in the trash.
Everything in the song leads us to this conclusion, the world his living is fake because he loves a sex doll, it’s a big metaphor, she talks about her in figurative way, there are even plastic trees in this world(that's why he named the song Fake plastic tress), but he knows it’s no real and he have to get a nonplastic woman.
