Wrong
what exactly did The White Stripes and Foo Fighters do to kill rock music?
Really loaded quesiton. All the Foo Fighters are guilty of is making incredibly safe over-produced buttrock. They haven't done anything significant enough to warrant being accused of killing rock music on their own.
Neither did anything other than be completely over rated and derivative as fuck.
Sure they're loud but their music is mediocre and lacking stage presence.
If people watched prime The Who or Cream they'd get a taste of what rock should be.
Black Metal: Trve Kvlt Edition.
This thread is for the discussion of cold, raw, evil black metal. Only the most evil, hateful, lo-fi black metal is allowed. No digital media allowed. If you're going to discuss collecting, make it vinyl or tapes. Older and more obscure black metal is preferred.
Posers can fuck off.

Listening to anything but Burzum or Darkthrone is for posers. Fuck off.

Best buried black metal album of the 90s. Psychedelic and fucked up lo-fi madness.

new music soon
I feel like hip-hop is coming to an end.
Normally, every year there is some fresh crop of new artists who start making music and getting a fanbase and getting big on the internet and shit, and out of them there are quite a few good ones in this crop.
However, this newest generation is all kinds of trash.
I'm talking about the new new one. XXXTENTACION, Lil Peep, Lil Pump, all those guys. They're all terrible.
I feel like one of those old heads when they listen to a Migos album or some shit and don't get it and hate it and instantly discard it. I always disapproved of those old heads who disliked everything new but now I understand it. These guys are all kinds of trash.
I like the guys before this crop. Yachty, Uzi, 21 Savage, etc. I like them. It's this newest generation that makes me feel like hip-hop is fucked.
I mean listen to it. It has no redeeming qualities. Everything is so bad and cringey.

x makes for some pretty good party bangers
lil peep/pump are garbage but yachty and uzi are trap for white girls and just as bad if not worse
>>71547451
you forget that this wave is trap artist has found its way onto some of the best beats in hip-hop history. it will not be dying soon. the production on records by famous dex, uzi, 21 savage, etc are all fantastic. metro is the big name but there are so many other young producers on the come up,

>I like the guys before this crop. Yachty, Uzi, 21 Savage, etc
>Implying that these guys are the old crop.
The gap between the rise of rappers like Lil Peep, Lil Pump, and XXXTENTACION is less than a year between the rise of 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, or Lil Uzi.
I don't know if this a bait post or you actually think any of this.

damn you canada post
That's the dumbest fucking picture I've seen. What's the point of showing additive and subtractive options on the same image? It's just going to confuse people that haven't been doing it for a long time.
Pro tips:
For basically anything other than bass and kick drums, remove anything below 100Hz and make a decent notch around 300Hz. Take some frequencies between 10kHz and 20kHz out because you're probably using a shitty mic and this will counter that a little bit. Also remove a decent bit of 1kHz, also known as the telephone frequency.
