Gonna go with John Fahey. Very skilled guitarist, but beyond that he put less emphasis on the technical aspects of his music and more on the emotions conveyed. It's this reason why despite not every note being perfect it only adds to the general mood and authenticity of the music. Plus, he took what he had made and fine-tuned it until it became absolutely perfect, thus his masterpiece Fare Forward Voyagers.

I had no idea Disk 2 was a separate release so until yesterday I thought In Rainbows was 18 tracks, which is how I listened to the album and that made me think it was inconsistent and lacked focus. I had no idea it was just 10 tracks, I have to revisit it now, I'm sure it holds up way better.

There are no albums with more than 14 songs that aren't a jumbled mess.

sounds like me last summer, except it was 8 hours or masonry and landscape work and it was country rock and reggaeton. That ride home when I got to pop in my music was irreplaceable.

I've been working 10 hours a day for the last 10.5 years with a one hour commute round trip on rare perfect days. I don't usually do any actual work though. I'm a graveyard shift receptionist so my record is 6 weeks straight without seeing or speaking to one single person. I just shitpost here and sell comics, music and movies on ebay. One day a week I do take out the trash though.
