1. Do you watch any music critic channels?
2. In that case which?
1. Yes
2. Todd in the shadows, adoseofbuckley, acriticnamedkevin
>>71895017
yes
ones with low views so the quality stays high.
>>71895017
The LP club is decent and tge jid that hosts it is pretty knowledgeable about music despite his age. Vinyl rewind is a good channel as well.
>>71895017
No. I have an attention span and prefer to listen to good music so I read written music criticism.
PS- not Scaruffi. He's horrible.

what's the verdict again?
Worth the weight
Probably going against the majority opinion here, but I think it's better than Loveless. There's a greater variety of songs on this album, the drum n bass influenced tracks are great.
>I believe that the so-called shoegaze movement of bands is essentially just a gang of pretentious art school kids trying to create noise, but they're putting emphasis on some sort of cool, mysterious, sexy factor by obscuring the vocals and creating some hazy, druggy "atmosphere". Every one of these bands seem to have this woman in the front, acting provocatively on stage, wearing tons of makeup, and making some type of peculiar moaning tribal sex noise instead of singing legible lyrics. Underneath all the noise and obscured vocals, it's just your basic pop-rock, just pure bubblegum pop that's been peddled on your local radio station by the record company for the past 50 years. Same song structure, same basic premise at the core of it. But since there's a loud reverb-laden guitar it's so deep, so original, so creative.
>When people regard a group like Slowdive or Lush or Jesus and Mary Chain or My Bloody Valentine as the pinnacle of noise, or call these groups innovative and challenging in any way, I throw up in my mouth a little. People regard this mindless pop as noise, instead of listening to an actual noise group like The Jesus Lizard or Big Black. This shit is the reason that the development of British music has stagnated over the past 15 years, and will continue to do so.
Can I connect my guitar to my computers using only a stereo plug adapter? Or am I being stupid
>Pic related, 3,5mm jack and 6,35mm stereo plug
You need the opposite
>>71894916
Okay, but so it would work with that one? Because when I asked someone, they said I would need a soundcard or it wouldn't work

What is some music that sounds like gears, industrial factories, that give an overall dark environment? I looked into the Industrial genre and most of it is ambient and I can't really find beat-driven industrial except for some Einsturzende Neubauten songsg
>>71894852
Most of industrial is actually rock-derived and synthpop-derived.
Ambient industrial is actually a fairly restrictive part of it that mostly accounts for its earliest years.
Anyway listen to Chu Ishikawa's music.

First Fear Factory albums have industrial noises

I'm a music conservatory graduate. I spent years analyzing music for grades, so when I come across something that's garbage, I know. Rap music has the melodic complexity of a train horn (actually less; train horns often are tuned to a tritone, which seem to be absent in Rap) and the lyrical complexity barely goes beyond a 3rd grade vocabulary. Not only is this music intended for ignorant audiences, it's intended to provoke ignorant young people into committing crimes, in order to fill the for-profit prisons in the US. How's that for an unpopular opinion?
>>71894817
It's ironic, and made to spite you.

I just listened to this last night and I spent the entire album repeating the words "This is reddit, this is memes, this is reddit, this is memes..." under my breath.
I fucking hated it. I was writhing around on the floor in front of my sofa for those last 30 minutes it was so painful.

Thoughts?
Best thing since the fourth album. I thought it would be like Dynamite, it's better than AFO and Dynamite. Sure some of the lyrics on some of the songs are shit but the bass is great.

As someone who really really loves and considers RDLS to be a 10/10 no matter how different it was, this is pretty good too. I really dislike the retrofuturistic synths but whatever. I can see myself playing this a lot during summer bbqs on the balcony, as faggy as it sounds.
