The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

I keep having this dream where SpaceGhostPurrp tweets "Y'all got til cinco de mayo to get yo shit together." Then, on May 1, he releases a new mixtape called "FUCK BLACKLAND." This is the tracklist.

This seems weird since SGP seems to have squashed his beef with Denzel, Ski, etc. The bass on all the beats is very distorted, and SGP's rapping is very aggressive. Sometimes, the beats are distorted so much that you can barely make out the lyrics. Each song is at least 10 minutes. On the last track, "FUCK XXXTENTACION", SGP raps for 2 minutes, and then it devolves into harsh noise with SGP and Alice screaming randomly for 20 minutes. The cover is just a picture of SGP holding a piece of paper that reads "5/5/17" The mixtape is critically acclaimed, and receives a 10 from Pitchfork.

On Cinco de Mayo, SpaceGhostPurrp enters a mall in Miami and opens fire, killing 50 people, including X and Ski. SGP is eventually killed during a police chase and Pitchfork re-rates FUCK BLACKLAND to a 0. The incident is so controversial that all Florida rappers are blackballed from the industry.

I don't feel sorry for Brian Wilson; I never thought he was that talented to begin with. I'm glad he idolizes me; I wish that Jimi Hendrix idolized me. I heard he did. I'd be more impressed if somebody with a brain idolized me."

anyone else feel like they are retconning the characters? i know i know "hurrdurr another gorillaz pleb thread" just wondering if anyone else noticed. none of the characters seem to be acting like themselves from previous albums and feel wholly different. i mean just compare 2d from "do ya thing" to his current form. it just feels off desu anyone else feel like this?
