>Just turned 24
>Dream of becoming a successful musician is slowly drifting away
What kind of music do you make anon
hey that's just like me, I'm 24 and I just released a successful EP
And I thought at fifteen that I'd have it down by sixteen
And twenty-four keeps breathing in my face
Im so depressed and suicidal /mu/. I feel like Ive heard all music and music no longer the shoulder I lean to to escape.
I used to get lost in songs and fantasize about music videos and stuff in my head. Now music just sounds like noise, I dont relate to most lyrics or emotional range of music unless it is anger. I feel like i am constantly between a 5-9 on an anger scale. I just want to experience bliss again, i feel so far removed from it though. What is some good rock/metal oriented music thats new? Favorite bands include nine inch nails, melvins, mayhem, morbid angel, om, type o negative, neurosis, alice coltrane, deftones, korn, oneohtrix point never, aphex twin
metal is dead

This legitimately made me sad, have a song that gives me feels:

Now that U2 has been vindicated by /mu/, how's about we get around to appreciating Oasis as well?
>>72644081
I hope these two cunts stop making music forever
>>72644081
I like some very early Oasis stuff but they are not even close to being in the same realm as U2

Can anyone recommend good old fashioned / traditional country records? Recently I started listening to Hank Williams Sr. a lot and have fallen in love with his music. His son Hank Jr.'s music is pretty good too, but only his older stuff. What are some similar old fashioned country artists? Specific albums? It can be new music, as long as it isn't in a modern Luke Bryan style i.e. singing about blue jeans, Miller Lite, dixie cup, parties, using drum machines, etc etc.

For old country-western, my favorite is Tex Ritter.

You'l probably like the outlaw country artists
Johnny Cash
Merle Haggard
Johnny Paycheck
Waylon Jennings
Willie Nelson
But so much music here - decades of records for each of them, its hard to know where to start. I'm still trying to figure that out - lots of great music but haven't heard an album yet I can strongly recommend. For me its mostly finding little gems among filler, which I do on each record I try.
this album is bad
ok

Just listened to this and wow is it awful. Every song is literally a mindless beat in 4/4 for 15 minutes. Why do RYM and /mu/ circlejerk over such worthless garbage instead of listening to electronic music with actual thought put into it like Aphex Twin or BoC?

Fuck it, it's a 5.
So I noticed the Japanese release of the new Slowdive album has an extra 9th track called "30th June". I've been looking everywhere to listen. Could anyone post a link to where i could hear it? Thank you!

Beside memes is it a 5 or not?

I've been really enjoying a couple Japanese bands, Mass of the Fermenting Dreg and Midori, and I was wondering wondering where else to go and how to really get into foreign music as a whole for an English-only guy.
