THIS.
Can we just ban hip-hop from this board entirely? It's not music, it's just talking over beats. It's fake music for people who can't sing.
>>72641442
should be a separate board just like /asp/
>>72641442
fuck you fucking fuck boy
hip hop is the forefront of modern music
it explores sociocultural themes more than any other genre

Pet Sounds
Three Dog Night
The best and most creative Decade in music has to be the 1960s.
Legitimately almost every genre produced great music in the 1960s US and UK and Canada markets.
>In R&B you had the Motown hits and upstarts in LA. Don't believe me look at the classics.
You began the decade with Chuck berry, Sam Cooke, and Martha and the vandals and ended with people like Sly and the family stone, the dramatics, and Marvin Gaye.
>Rock music was at its peak. The Decade was ruled by more then the Beatles. The rolling Stones, the kinks, Sam, sham, and the pharos,
>General pop music was also great with dusty Springfield, arethra Franklin, Elvis, and the beach boys.
> Musically we went from the standard rockabilly and early blues sounds to proto punk and metal music by 1968/1969.
Legitimately one of the best decades in music if not the best decades in music for creativity.
Other decades come very close but the 60s wins it for me anyone want to prove me wrong?
it was the 70s actually
60s are good but what about the early 60s? Not a lot of good stuff except jazz. 70s had more quantity year by year I think.
>>72641661
>but what about the early 60s?
lol. plebs cant into surf rock

NOW
Soulseek is only application I've used continuously since I first heard about it in 2004. It's my favorite of all time. There used to be one chat room the "Lobby". I made several friends in there back in the day. Certain users almost completely defined my music taste with their collections, for different periods of time. This thread is dedicated to my favorite program. Thank you Nir.
>>72640432
Soulseek was great back when I used it. I didn't use the chats because I talk to you idiots enough on here, but the program itself is great.
>>72640432
soulseek survived friendster, myspace, and facebook. three eras of internet history. four if you remember it as one of the alternatives to napster and limewire when they went down.
I'm also amazed at how this program still is what it is. Based SLSK
Do you folks jam to Thin Lizzy, or should I just go fuck myself?
>>72640360
Sometimes (but you should still go fuck yourself)
>>72640360
You should go fuck yourself.
Unless it's Belle and Sebastian ripping off Thin Lizzy, that's okay.
I don't "jam" to anything.
