I love Colma, Electric Tears, A real diamond in the rough. Certified feel albums. The problem with this dude is, besides being a total fucking weirdo (check out his side projects like cornbugs and death cube k), he just shits out music weekly, completely devaluing his talent. I want to personally meet that guy who listened to ALL of his stuff, but I am afraid that dude might be a serial killer in the making.

I used to be an enormous fan, though my listening to metal has slowed down recently. Unfortunately, everything from Bucketheadland thru Monsters and Robots is his best work imho. There's no way I can judge his recent releases. Fat too many, haha

When I was 14 y/o I saw him live. He pulled out a huge bag of toys, and he threw a power rangers mask that hit me in the head, though someone else snagged it. Killed it throughout the entire show, tho. Whipped out a bass and had a wicked battle with the opener who was a sousaphonist that rigged everything through a looper/pedalboard.

Honestly, anon, I used to think this too.

I was between 16-18, and it was my favourite album (minus the two remaster new-release tracks which just got deleted), and i always used to think it blew Loveless out of the water. However, over a few years I realised that it was just that Souvlaki Space Station carries the whole album so hard, it makes it seem better than it is.
Don't get me wrong, it is astonishingly good, and Souvlaki Space Station is better than anything MBV has done by a country mile, but as an album Loveless is quite a bit better.
Consistency wise.
Solid 9/10 throughout, whereas Souvlaki has one 11/10 track, then rest 8-9/10s.
