Want legit thoughts on this album. Can't say I'm very fond of this one. 3 songs struck me as okay but the rest was a whole letdown. I feel Mac is going down a path that just further and further strays away from his old self. I fell in love with Mac when "2" was the big thing and I miss that sweet ass slacker guitar sound.
It sounds like everything else he made
>>72640228
I liked it
more experimental, he's moved on from just guitar and drum songs. The best songs on Salad Days for me were the ones that added other instruments, Passing Out Pieces, Johnny's Odyssey, Chamber of Reflection.
is that good? how the fuck should I know
Very, very bland. I've listened to it a bunch of times and there isn't a single notable thing I remember. I also love 2, and Salad Days had some notable moments too, but his last two albums just feel so uninspired.
Rules:
1. Song must have below 1,000 views
2. Song must be over 3 days long, to make sure it's not just because it's just been uploaded.
3. You may shill your own stuff, only if you don't say it explicitly.
4. Song must be on the original video, so as to make sure it's some reupload by an unknown fag.

the scrubs were the people who used slsk instead of what.cd
i'm using soulseek now (and i was before too) but what.cd was so much better
>The Magic Band were 19 or 20 when they began writing Trout Mask Replica
>the guys in Slint were barely 20 when Spiderland released
>Mike Oldfield recorded Tubular Bells at 19
>Brian Wilson wrote Pet Sounds at 23
>the earliest tracks on SAW were made by Richard at 16
...and what have you done anon?
Francis Bacon didn't even begin painting until he was 24 and Kant didn't begin writing The Critique of Pure Reason until he was in his 50s
Well, Gira was almost 30 when Swans released Filth, so I think we'll all be fine
I've written numerous improvisations on the piano but i'm not going to share them with you becaus you wouldn't understand them.
Imo this was better than worry.
Discuss.

I saw him live and was soo disappointed in his fan base. I didn't know what to expect. But majority were underage sjws. And I went up to the dude after and tried shaking his hand and he totallyleft me hanging. It was pretty embarrassing. I stopped listening to him ever since.
Imo worry is a little more aggressive and fun.

I have never heard a single techno/downtempo song btw
I would start with music has the right to children, but you can start anywhere really.
>>72639080
Start with Music Has A Right To Children. If you like that, follow up with The Campfire Headphase, which is similarly nostalgic but has seeds of BoC's more sinister side as well as some nice post rock elements. Geogaddi and Tomorrow's Harvest are significantly more sinister but immensely rewarding listens. Geogaddi is largely regarded as their masterpiece.

Should I even bother with this Album? Half the people on this board just say it's the worst he's ever made but the other half of you say it 's actually good.

>it's the worst he's ever made but the other half of you say it 's actually good.
it's both of those things
well, it was both of those things, prior to the release of DAMN
anyway my point is go and listen to it
>>72639037
it's what, one hour out of your life? put it on while driving or on the bus or something
Man of Oil is one of my favourite AnCo songs they've released in a long time
great EP, glad to hear this sound from them. and yeah Man of Oil is a fantastic song
>>72638775
Agreed that Man of Oil is a godlike song, I have it on repeat all the time.
Otherwise the album is basically Campfire Songs in the rainforest + Geologist and I'm a huge fan of that sound.
I like how in Anaconda Opportunity they literally got a recording of a big ass anaconda slithering by
I listened to the entire first song then turned it off in disgust. It just seemed like they new Deakin blew them the fuck away last year and now they're just trying to play catch up.
jesus christ almighty this album is shit
