Do portable music players still have a place in current times, when you can just listen to music from your phone? Is the sound quality better or something? Sorry, I'm just completely green when it comes to that, I've never used one, but headphones port in my phone got damaged and the quality have dropped terribly, so I'm considering buying one.
They're for listening to music if you want to listen to music. Is that hard to understand
people are used to buy these things if they want to go cheaper, you can literally buy some headphones with a sd card reader jor just some couple of dollars
I own a FiiO X1 since my phone does not have expandable memory (capped at 25gb).
They absolutely do have a place in current times.
One question to people who listen to artists like Morton Feldman, Taku Sugimoto, Otomo Yoshihide and Pierre Boulez (to name some) but also listen to and enjoy artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Migos and Drake.
How is this possible?
How/why would you listen to something so superficial and awful when you also listen to something so intellectually stimulating, thought-provoking and innovative? I'm just curious, how is it possible to have a taste this bipolar and is it even possible or people are only pretending?
Are there really people out there who think that one piece by Taku Unami can be just as good as a song by Lil Uzi Vert for example? Explain this reasoning to me, please.

This is literally me. Can't really explain why I have such taste though.
is electronic music real music? why's it so bad?
I don't agree with this meme, since skrillex is a producer too, a good one in his own right. I can't fault for producers who do most of all the work on their song coming out from the behind the curtain and doing shows. I can't believe I'm defending skrillex, but he isn't a "push play" dj, he actually has mixing skills. Check out his boiler room shanghai china set

>is electronic music real music
why wouldn't it be?
>why's it so bad?
it isn't if you actually listen to it

Train or Imagine Dragons?
train, i will take comfy momcore rock
Never heard an Imagine Dragons song but they sound gay. Trains are cool and the band Train has some songs that I've heard and like, so I say Train.
>>74188452
Imagine Dragons cause there's that part where they go "auuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhssschhhhhhuuuuuuuuu" to simulate breathing in
It was a perfect discography until this POS came along.
I've seen this EXACT post with EXACT wording here before. Fucking grow up.

*when
Holy shit this is boring
The guy cant sing at all and every song sounds the same, not even meme'ing i genuily dont understand what people think is so great about this album
it's a meme, same as death grips, kanye west, kendrick lamar etc. it's not supposed to be good.
>>74188596
that explains
Just bought this on vinyl, what happened them /mu. They were always a pretty corporate controlled pop-rock band but how did they go from recording albums like Rush of Blood to The Head and Parachutes to a shitty collab with the Chain Smokers.
Old Coldplay is still my favorite band of all time, I'm listening to this record feeling sad and nostalgic.
>>74188343
rock lost 90% of its market appeal
>>74188343
I think they just want to make music for the masses
they probably know their music isn't as good as it used to be but they just don't care, as long as thousands of people go to their concert their gonna be ok with it
still
X&Y and Viva La Vida were their last effort to actually make the sound they wanted
>>74188343
Apparently they gave Chris more control and he prefers their new sound

what will jtg's 400th rating be?
For me its Wish You Were Here, the perfect album.
There might be CT albums I like more, but this is their most consistently brilliant
