I will certainly take an epilogue if that is what is being offered, but I honestly didn't expect this to be so short. I had no idea it was a miniquest. I thought we would go home, play out the next few months, and slowly grow. We would slowly come out of our shell, bond with our new mother, and work our way through our emotional issues. I'm kind of disappointed to hear that the quest was just about choosing and not about helping Cuddle Bug in a more in-depth sense, but I still enjoyed it a lot, even if it is destined to end here.

I don't know about puzzles but I quite liked the riddle in Darkest Hour. The very fact that we lacked the knowledge needed to actually figure it out made it feel genuine.

I'm catching up on the latest thread of Dirty Work.
I literally felt the emotions. The internal buildup is just so perfect, there are all those conflicting feelings, and the description of the MC's sensations is so vivid. It's amazing.
The only drawback is that the SoL parts feel like they're dragging, in comparison.
Man, I just love that quest. It's one of these that are so fascinating that I /have/ to keep reading, I can't look away from the screen.

The hands down best way to make an MC is have the QM give out a skeleton and have the players characterize it. From there, the QM establishes character from the actions and thoughts of the players.

Wrong, the best way is to start with a blank slate and let the players characterize them. But extenuate certain quirks the players seemed to like, but not full flanderization mode. Every so often introduce a hint a possible characterization quirk and if the players latch onto it themselves keep it if they don't drop it.
