Ive been A little behind on show lately /m/ but I was watching my 9 yr old nephew (who ive turned into a mini mecha fan) and we sat down and watch Gundam Build Fighters. I personally found it very good as far as childrens entertainment goes, but My nephew seemed to love it. What do you think /m/

What's the standard height for mechas? Xenoblade X's skells are very small when compared to the average, standing a little over 7 meters, comparable to the size of a 2 story home.

I'd say there are standard categories rather than one size fits all.
VOTOMS, Xenoblade X, Escaflowne, Heavy Gear, etc. fit into the small category or around 8 meters.
17-23 is the size of the standard stuff like Gundams and family.
After that you have the huge ones which have no real height similarities outside being above those 23 meters. Evangelion (80m), TTGL (...), Jaegers (80m), Gunbuster (200m), Getter-1 (40m),...

15-ish meters is nothing to snooze at but it makes sense.
Even on the low-end of the mecha size, it is still within the standard (most commonly used) mecha size and so is shown like that for the majority of the show.

So im ready to watch Zeta and having comfortably watched Dubs up til now and enjoying it, ive heard this was absolute trash
is it as bad as ive heard and i should avoid it, or is it internet hyperbole and its just mediocre and fine
its easier to multi task if im watching a dub but ill gladly sacrifice that if im drastically lowering the watching experience with a bad dub

So why does generator output matter in regards to whether or not a mobile suit can use beam weapons? (or with how effective they are with them)
The weapons aren't running off of the internal generators, and use E-CAPs and later E-PACs so that can't be why,
The GM having a Beam Spray Gun is fine because they explained it was much cheaper to equip all the GMs they were cranking out with a means to one-shot all the Zeon mobile suits.
And in the OYW on Zeon's side of things you can reason that they developed beam weapons too late.
