don't know much about it other than it's cool SRW because of the combo attack with daitarn and zambot.

It's a decent unit in my favorite SRW though since it comes on stage 1 and never leaves or needs upgraded, it already has a good spam move and a finisher at finisher strength.

I used to think it was cool, because of the hilarious goofy shit it did like having a sword so big it was used for cutting up battleships, but because it was so big the only way he could wield it was by building a cargo loader suit for his MS.

Then I found out recently after playing Gundam Breaker 3 that it ends up going BACKPACKZ overdose like all the other shit in CE.

While I can't say stuff like the OP killed my love for the suit, I definitely don't care for that particular loadout and think that's more suitable for the Blue Frame, since that was basically Gai's thing. I think most of the stuff I've seen of it, at least up to the Mars Frame is fine, since that just gives it a Gelgoog jacket, which is fun. It got some Delta backpack or something after that according to what I can see on the wikia, which doesn't seem nearly as cool and looks more serious. I liked the styling of Red being silly upgrades made to work, Blue being serious upgrades and Gold being edgy and kind of dumb.

On one hand, I really like that shot and the idea of the Feds and Zeon finally working together. On the other hand, it just... isn't explained properly. Why the fuck does Zeon just stop when they're about to win? Are they moved by Amuro's words? Do they hear what Char really believes and disagree with him?

Do they suddenly realize their mistake? Do they have a last second change of heart? Are they moved by the self sacrifice of the feddies? No real reason is given and it makes what should've been a cool moment kind of awkward.

I love CCA, but this bit is just odd.

Those three probably only just realised the gravity :^) of their decision when immediately faced by it. Couple that with Amuros inspirational actions and you've got room for them to change their minds.

When I looked up Mekton all I got was Spanish super geometry dash gameplay.

I think I know of two groups on /m/ who play Zeta, me being in one of them. Overall the mecha customization is pretty fun although balance can quickly go out the window. Character customization is broken since Reflex makes you a god among men while Cool and Empathy are similar but separate stats. There are some very usless skills, although a GM can work most in. But for example, there's First Aid and another called Medical or something, and they both do the same thing. I think one is a little harder to learn. As far as combat goes, you will usually run into situations where the rulebook doesnt really cover anything or the wording is too vague. A quick GM can just ad-lib and continue though. Combat is also very number crunchy, thank goodness we do everything on computer to simplify rolls. I pity any poor soul who decides to use a co-pilot for ECM. Honestly, it's fun to play. Not as great as it could be but the quirks of the rulebook are actually kind of charming. It isn't hindering, just a little rough. Overall I'd say an improvement in the combat (through simplification of some areas and specification in others) and improvement of the character system would be most important. Of course, changing combat means altering weapons which means changing mecha customization, but there are ways that could be improved too. Instead of shoving everything into Melee, Beam Melee, Ranged, Beam Ranged, and Missiles, sub-categories for certain types of weapons could be made. Things like the Ablative Armor system work great though, so the system isn't without its merits.
