Your favorite /m/ovie mech?
Mine is the marauder from starship troopers.

The Sazabi from CCA. To me it's the most "Zeon" looking mech
Crimson typhoon all the way m8

Anon, that image should be spoilered
Why didn't the Federation make more of this GM?
AMURO! WHY DID YOU BUILD THE DINO-GMS WITH SUCH TINY COMBAT DRIVES?
>>13735730
Gundam with transforming, flame spitting, beam firing dinosaurs?
...I like the sound of that
GMLOCK IS KING

>Kinji has a messenger owl.
>Not Yakumo.
I'm willing to bet none of the writers could even find England on a globe.
Man, Ninninger really IS a poor man's version of Shinkenger - even the movie.
>Edo setting
>Dinosaur movie mecha
>Dressing up as the mooks
Oh well, thanks anyway. Now, where's my Surprise Future?
What is the appeal of the SD?

the fun and cuteness

That's legitimately more detailed than the HGUC Zaku II.
Are those hexagonal ports on the wing's engines supposed to be micro missile launchers like the eight on each leg?
>>13733853
no thats just panel lining so it has more detail
>>13733853
Correct. There are 12 launchers in total.
>>13734278
Don't forget the ones in the shoulders.
What are some good high fantasy mecha animes other than Dunbine, Escaflowne and FFS. Break Blade is kinda in that category too, but I wouldn't call it "good".
>>13733789
Scrapped Princess?
Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, but it's more harem/SoL than mecha.
>being a plotfag
Anyways, this thread from a few months ago was pretty solid.
http://desustorage.org/m/thread/13483795/
What are some more legitimately well-written Super Robot and Kaiju shows that are visually appealing? They don't have to be dark and more character-driven, but I don't mind them being like that either, as long as they have adequate focus on the robot/monster designs as well.Bonus points if they don't spend too much time on fan service and takes place primarily on earth.
I watched a bit of Nadesico and enjoyed it, but it was a little brutaland felt a bit contemporary, but that's probably the wrong way to put it. I like Eva as well but it's more of a character analysis than mecha anime.
Sorry I'm being so specific

DaiGuard

Those blushes look so weird though. And some of the animation is cheap.
>>13733770
RahXephon. But it's really dark.

Is it concluded? one of the turnoffs for Nadesico for me is that I've heard it's never been finished.
>I'll win over the enemy with the power of my 3 songs used over and over and over
deltafags will support this post.

Im sorry I can't hear you over the sound of a space elf vampire orgasm

The first episodes when they only have one song, that was hard to get through
Is there a novel-adaptation suit better than the Second Victory? This thing is just amazing.
>>13733278
It's practically the same thing as the original Victory, but with some more blue highlights and different weapons.
>>13733320
No, it's V2 without the bad design and I-win wings.
>>13733323
Victory given all the useful bits of V2 without the garishness. It's superb.
Mac Knife is one of the cutest mecha I've ever seen. Can we get a cute /m/ thread?
Does this count?
>>13733096
-MS E has a generic Gundam Frame silhouette. Taghobby lists it as Kimaris Enhanced Type, might be speculation since this name isn't mentioned in the pic.
-MS F has the Grimgerde silhouette. Taghobby lists it as Earth Sphere Army MS - Commander Machine, might be speculation since this name isn't mentioned in the pic.
>>13732767
The unknown 1/100 just has a generic Gundam Frame silhouette. Taghobby lists it as Barbatos 6th Form, might be speculation since this name isn't mentioned in the pic.
If these names are real that means the new green Graze and the new Hyakuren variant aren't getting normal gunpla releases. The new Graze's large sword is already in Option Set 4 so that looks believable and the Hyakuren gunpla doesn't have any runner switches that would indicate a planned variation. MS C must be a Barbatos new form(6th) too.
That means the 5th form is the one shown in the OP2 with the 2 arm attachments and a new melee weapon.
>>13732773
so barbatos 6th form is naked jehuty .. nice
>>13732876
nope, they just don't want to spoil it already
Dimension W thread.
Kyoma is cool and Mira is cute.
>>13732687
It was pretty good. More cyborg lolis is always a good thing
Haven't seen it yet but I am getting all sort of positive reviews across the internet. This might be the show I might actually pick up this season.
>>13732687
The cringe-y, grating anime cliches are just barely edged out by how pretty the whole thing is, and the promise the premise has. JUST barely.
>Beginning with 5 minutes of toku-style exposition and a profile of the main character who is yet another pissed off late-20-something bum.
Yeaeurgh. And something tells me that 99% of the problems that are about to arise could have been avoided if the good doctor had just calmed his glowing Iron Man tit for a few minutes. Digging the Brazilian-Japanese scriptkiddy though.
DID
NOTHING
WRONG
>>13732685
He did something wrong, that's why Lacus is still alive. All he needed to do to win the war was to clone Fllay Allster, have this clone get Kira Yamto to work for him.
Gilbert "Duran" Durandal was the true hero of SEED Destiny
Destiny plan was stupid
>Char kills his best friend for no other reason than because his name is Zabi
>can't even kill a little girl even though it would permanently end the Zabi family
If this isn't irrefutable proof that Char is a pedophile, I don't know what is.
Garma wasn't Char's friend, the blondie always despised him.
>>13732308
Char was only ever pretending to be Garma's friend. It's not clear that Char is actually even capable of having friends in the conventional sense, not after so many years of masks and betrayals that he manages to justify to himself as not really being betrayals because the person he's betraying hurt him first. The only people he ever actually, honestly liked were Lalah and in a very twisted sense Amuro, even though he also despised Amuro just as much as the Zabis for killing Lalah.

So, what i wanna do here is start a conversation about cockpits. Design, functionality, etc.
It may be a little controversial but, as much as i love cyberpunky cockpits like pic related, i don t think they would be actual useful in a mech. I mean, you can manouver a tank with those for sure, but for high paced mech combat gundam gangnam style they wouldn t realistically do the job. How could two levers that go forward and backward be able to translate all of the movements two arms and hands (not even talking about fingers de fuck) can make?
Mechs have realistic and human movements. I think to be able to get a result like that a cockpit should be designed like the ones of the orbital frames from ZOE and have deep connections with the pilot s central nervous system so that he can move his mech mainly with his thoughts than his actual movements.
What does /m/ think?
>Mandatory sorry for bed inglish
>also post cockpit pics
>>13732247
>How could two levers that go forward and backward be able to translate all of the movements two arms and hands (not even talking about fingers de fuck) can make?
Most of those are pre-programmed. We never see Gundam do anything exceptionally articulate aside from "grab thing," which can be done by the onboard AI that Amuro couldn't stop jerking off. It's not like they're painting or anything-- video game controls should do the trick. In the more super robot-focused series like Wing and 00 Evangelion or Gunbuster controls would be better. Actually, Gunbuster probably has my favorite cockpit.
I feel like having VR headsets instead of a bunch of screens is a pretty interesting solution.
>>13733058
Doesn't something like that actually exist? The design was right out of VOTOMS
