Tell me what to watch /m/

/m/ is a vast sea of idk what the fuck to do with. Where do I start? Seen a couple of rec images but eh.
I liked Gunbuster, Ebangerion and Five Star Stories (latter for the designs).
Might give Gasaraki a try but that /k/ lvl turns me off. I also liked Diebuster and Gurren Lagann but don't see them as relevant.

Are there any mecha anime that feature only regular mechs vs regular mechs instead of overpowered meme machines vs walking scrap metal? I watched the first few eps of armored trooper and enjoyed it despite it having a lot of "entire platoons of chucklefucks who never should have been given weapons/mechs vs blue haired hammer of god" fights.

Just got back into watching anime again after a 2 year break. Was halfway through Orguss then when my life went to hell and I quit doing anything fun for a long time after. I even quit posting here on /m/ so I'm sure you must have noticed the posting quality go up in my absence!

First off I actually liked this show despite the flaws and my long break away. Animation sucked for the fights but they did get better in the second half (like all /m/ shows). Tons of recycled footage everywhere but the animation and quality was fine outside of the fights. I did like how the fights get pretty large scale later on when the Emaan fleet joins the main ship on it's journey to the orbital elevator (Can Gundam 00 do anything original?) and the later subsequent teamup with the Chilam to fight the Mu. The show is actually ambitious for what it is and I feel if they had just had more budget or at least better allocated the budget away to something that wasn't cute girls, cute robots, cute robot girls, and cute dragons doing cute things we might have at least gotten some cute mechs doing cute things.

Speaking of the girls, robots, and dragons. I really liked how much attention they put into the characters outside of the mechs in terms of designs. Tai (QQ) and Jabby felt like and looked like Shining Force characters which I really enjoyed. Who was this show designed for? They spent a shit ton of time making the girls cute and put in quite a bit of fanservice and even some soft nudity on the cute emaan girls. There is not a single uncute girl in the entire cast. It's like a reverse SDF Macross where the QUALITY is in the mech fights and instead of Itano circuses we just get DYRL Minmay/Misa closeups but for every girl. I'm surprised /a/ doesn't waifufag this show since it is pretty much the peak of 80s animu grills.

Commander Masaki sends Bikel and Walter on vacation in Yamanashi Prefecture so that they can study human interaction. While on the way there, they run into a little old lady who seems to believe that the only thing you can rely on in the world is money! When she's kidnapped and held for ransom, Bikel and Walter have to shift into high gear to rescue her... and they're in for an explosive conclusion!

Notes:
The episode title, Gyakuten Baachan, is the exact sort of title that they use in the Ace Attorney games, so I kept it the same way, since she experiences a turnabout.

The amusement park shown in the episode is a real place in Yamanashi Prefecture, a few hours outside of Tokyo: Fuji Q Highlands, which I've actually been to. It's home to some world record breaking roller coasters. If you like coasters and you have some free time while in Japan, take the highway bus from Shinjuku there and check it out. They also have a haunted house built an old hospital that I won't go in because I'm a giant chicken that is apparently in the Guiness Book of World Records as the scariest in the world.

Hello /m/, I'm Joe Stronger. I like a lot of old shit, but a lot of it is in Japanese. So today I'm going to dump this here in the hopes that someone someday will make better use of it than I can.

I originally sought this book, the Devilman Kaitaishinsho or Devilman Tabulae Anatomicae, because I fucking love Devilman, but when I heard about this interview from evageeks (which is only partially translated and even then is like a page and a half translated from Japanese to French to English) I got even more interested, especially considering Anno at one point in the interview cites the works of Ken Ishikawa, who is my favorite mangaka and created Getter Robo which is my favorite mecha series in existence, as his bible in High School. So naturally, I wanted the rest.

I don't have the whole book scanned, sadly, only the opening 12 or so pages that contain the interview, but I figure these pages are valuable enough in their own right. Due to my minimal knowledge of moonrunes, I can't exactly use them, but if any of you can, then I figure it's work it to give you these pages.

(Another Note: If a large number of people ask, I might also scan the rest of the book. It'd be long and tedious and would all be raws, but I figure if I died tomorrow or anytime in the future and shared at least some of my love for the classics, then that'd be worth scanning.)
