I never noticed it before but I love how Severian's depromotion from the guild to doing pointless paperwork is pretty Kafkaesque when you think about it.
I just started the Book of the new sun, although I got a good grasp of the first scene I would like some supplementary reading, a guide of some sort, to enrich my reading of the book. English is not my native language and complementary text would be very helpful for me. Is there one?
