I'm a gay male who hasn't come out of the closet yet. I'm applying to college (Berkeley, specifically) and they asked for my sexual orientation. I wrote heterosexual because my parents had to look over the application later. Is it worth changing it to gay in order to have a better chance to get in? Although they claim it has no effect on the admissions process, I feel that it does. I don't live in California so the admissions process is much harder for me. I want to be a computer science major and they are one of the best (if not the best) school in the country for it. Is it worth?
