I have to move to California from Florida for work related reasons. How hard would it be to bring in higher capacity magazines and my colt AR in the state by plane?

I'd leave them, it isn't worth the risk. Besides, you can always just buy a new one and claim you had it grandfathered in from before they passed the law.

That pic warrants a reply for sure.

So put a bullet button on BEFORE you get on a plane, so that when you land you aren't bent over. Also leave any of the magazines that are over ten round capacity behind, as they can kill 1000 baby seals per second and the number of angels that don't get their wings is practically incalculable.

Also, once you're established, pick up an m1a. As they're the only rifle you'll want to be operating with unless you're into bullet buttons. If you won't miss a detachable mag, there are still options. Not the best, but we can't just give the fuck up now can we.

So I read there's no significant difference between calibers for "self defense" hollowpoints.
And that a "weaker" caliber has more controllable recoil, allowing for more accurate panic fire.

What if I buy something smaller than a 9mm? Will my dick fall off?

Hello, /k/.

A buddy of mine is a black guy who's extremely proficient in handgun use, with family that competes and that he practices with. He's got his head on straight regarding self defense laws, firearms laws, etc, but there's one problem.

He's prevented from concealed carrying by his fear of discrimination and police reacting negatively to him carrying.

I'm having a hard time solving those fears by finding anything online, most stuff just talks about certain instances of discrimination rather than offering information regarding trends. Do you guys have any information on the subject?

To clarify further, he's a better and faster shot than most people I've met. He loves firearms.

Also, he's worried about his kid getting ahold of a potential pistol that he'd keep at home. In your opinion, if he wants a nightstand gun, what is the best way to secure it from the kid?

My recommendation was to demystify the tool, to teach about it and take her shooting, and to keep the gun's chamber empty when it's stowed.

If he dresses well when he's CCing he shouldn't have a problem

I said that too. He brought up this youtube video:

I said that body language, dress, etc makes a difference, but it also comes down to the individual cop.

If you absolutely have to build a shitty tube gun, I'd go with one of those bullet hoses from the scrap metal small arms series. Compact and simple. Or a pipe shotgun if I'm too fucked to build that. Stens are trash btw. Beautiful for what they are, but these days there are better options.

>tl:dr: Towelhead worked for security company which was/is involved in trafficking illegals over the border, which apparently aren't Mexican

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-06-12/orlando-shooter-worked-security-company-which-tranports-illegal-immigrants-deep-insi

>Orlando shooter Omar Mateen was employed by the US subsidiary of G4S plc, a British multinational security services company, whose US-headquarters are located in Jupiter, Fla, and which also happens to be the world's largest security company by revenue.

>Judicial Watch reported several days ago, in a post titled, "DHS Quietly Moving, Releasing Vanloads Of Illegal Aliens Away From Border", border patrol sources said that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was quietly transporting illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Phoenix and releasing them without proper processing or issuing court appearance documents. As a reminder, the government classifies them as Other Than Mexican (OTM) and this week around 35 were transferred 116 miles north from Tucson to a Phoenix bus station where they went their separate way. Judicial Watch was present when one of the white vans carrying a group of OTMs arrived at the Phoenix Greyhound station on Buckeye Road.

>And this is where the Mateen-G4S link emerges: as JW reported previously, a security company contracted by the U.S. government is driving the OTMs from the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector where they were in custody to Phoenix, sources said. The firm is the abovementioned G4S, the world’s leading security solutions group with operations in more than 100 countries and 610,000 employees. G4S has more than 50,000 employees in the U.S. and its domestic headquarters is in Jupiter, Florida.

>Armed with all this information, the big question, now that it has emerged that Mateen worked for the same company that has been tasked - under questionable circumstances - to transport illegals into the US, is whether or not this individual who swore allegiance to ISIS moments before the worst mass shooting and who was also employed by G4S for almost a decade, and who had been interviewed by the FBI three times and yet still managed to buy guns just last week, was also tasked in any way in facilitating the transport of illegal immigrants across the border, and if so, whether he helped other like-minded radical islamists enter the country.

Keep your families safe, /k/.

So a really close friend of mine was killed the other night in the Orlando attack. I'm worried gun laws will get more restrictive so id like some recommendations on a carry piece. I believe he was carrying an MCX and a Glock, but I'd prefer something smaller.

Well, once again somebody is trying to kick doors down in my apartment complex. It sounds like they got into the empty apartment next door, or made a damn good try of it. I made the appropriate calls, but I'm not expecting a timely response because lol my neighborhood. I slid my couch in front of my door as usual.

I can't wait to get the fuck out of here.

Anyone else have experiences like these? Anyone else deal with this shit frequently?

Buy one of those door stopper stick things. They act like wedging a chair under the knob. I dont know what to call it.

I'm moving in under a month, and I normally keep a chair there. I just switch to a couch if I hear someone actively trying one of the apartments here.
