Anyone seen this/ is going to see it?
Alot of my buddies got excited for it, but Meh. It's good to see more vets doing cool shit but I am just not that into vet humor anymore. I just kinda want to move past that part of my life.
>>30280109
I want to, but I don't want to drive 200 miles to a theater showing it.
Is it coming out on DVD?
I'll be joining the Marines, in a couple of months, what I am going to find/do/achieve there?
You're going to marry your high school sweetheart, who will cheat on you, you're going to buy a Mustang at 25% Apr, you're going to wear your Chucks on libo and look like a dildo, you're gonna stand at parade rest all the fucking time and do stupid boot shit and piss off all your NCOs. Eventually you'll stop being such a butthurt motard, and then you'll get salty, then you'll get out and answer stupid fucking questions from punk ass bitch poolies that probably will puss out on /k/

double-dubs don't lie
I've been eyeing an AR for a while now, and had my sights set on one already. Not wanting to fan the flames following the Orlando shooting, I decided not to buy it straight away. Welp, Classic jacked up their prices on ARs by about fifty dollars. Suppose you guys were right and I should have bought mine earlier. Fuck this gay Earth, and fuck that gay sand nigger.
So, are we actually in a panic?
>>30279691
$50? buy it before it goes up $500
>>30279700
That won't really happen.
W-will it, /k/?
$50 isn't a panic but it's definitely taking advantage of panickers
it's enough of an increase that they get a little profit without looking like massive dickbutts

Ancient warfare thread
Lets discuss ancient weaponry and tactics
Hannibal would have been molested at Cannae if the idiot Romans in charge left a 20,000 man reserve, as they always did for this purpose.
Darius II was the biggist idiot in the fucking ancient world for throwing his horses at giant spears and wasting his mounted troops that really should have been protecting his flanks against the mounted Macedonians.
>>30279460
Why was Belisarius so effective despite the adversity of the Byzantium royalty virtually screwing him over?
>>30279460
Hannibal a shit
I heard he sucks Nubian cock, LOL
Scipio is the one general that doesn't suck
>>30279698
Scipio wasn't even that great, if you look over his battles, hannibal was just very very lucky early on.
>terrorist attack
>a mentally ill person attacks
>50 people die
>get slaughtered like fucking animals
>all families crying
>ISIS confirms attack (still font quite Believe that shit)
>media IMMEDIATELY reacts
>its IMMEDIATELY about assault rifles
>guns killed 50 people
>NRA killed 50 people
>Guns gassed 6 million Jews
>ban guns
>it's NEVER about the shooter
>it's NEVER about terrorism/ISIS
>It's NEVER about how could have the 50 people protect theirselves
So why are you letting heartless emotionless idiotic Jewish faggot reporters write shit about solething they absolutely dont care about but which is a good argument against guns and spread it fucking everywhere without doing something about it? Why are those assholes seeking for a tragedy so they can jump immediately on it because of their own personal buthurt against guns? Anyone who has empathy with this or really cried about the incident wouldn't write a huge antigun article one day after the shooting
Where does this 50 keep coming from? Can someone explain to me why everyone keeps rounding up from 49?
>>30279387
the 50 count includes the shooter

How fast can china catch up on naval aviation given they are copying exactly the U.S carrier operations?

>How fast can china catch up on naval aviation given they are copying exactly the U.S carrier operations?
US carrier operations have evolved organically over decades of trial and error, and under the evolutionary pressure of constant warfare.
Copying the outward signs of US carrier operations is totally different from understanding through actual combat experience the reasons for those things.
The only way that China can catch up on naval aviation is by doing the work. Give them twenty years of combat operations, and they'll start to catch up.
Anything else is just play-acting. Might as well ask how well the cast and crew of Black Hawk Down would perform in an actual combat mission.
>>30279335
>they are copying exactly the
just curious since i hear so much about Commiefornia banning everything.

I live in Vermont. We are arguably in the top tier along with Alaska and other constitutional carry states.
The problem here is that MA and NY transplants periodically try to shit up our legislature. We beat them back after Sandy Tears, but this upcoming legislation session will be rough.
Anyway VT in a nutshell:
>Constitutional Carry, Open and Concealed
>NFA is cool
>2nd Amendment in State Constitution, no fuckery about it.
>Law Enforcement are fine with our laws the way they are
>lots and lots of land to shoot on.

Alright /k/, enough is enough. I've held out long enough from buying a gun, but now the time has come. The world is going to shit, it's better now than later
I'm in the market for a handgun and rifle. I love Sig's and grew quite fond of the
Sig P238 and P938
Pros/Cons of either? Shot with them both extensively, love them (the 238 having a slight edge due to how compact and discreet it is
For rifles
Scar-16S
P90
STEYR-AUG
Have had hands on time with all of them, also pros/cons from your experience would be appreciated. My local store has them all and for pretty good prices.
For the rifle, I'd go with a SCAR-17. .308 is a better cartridge all-around and is more accurate at range. Plus you've got a million and one loads for it--everything from foreign military surplus to match grade. For a handgun, there's really a million options. I'd personally go with a Glock 26 but that's because the Glock's magazine is so common.
Aside from that, I'd suggest purchasing a few AR stripped lowers. Or some 80% lowers if you want to learn about milling. Maybe invest in some machining tools too. Being able to finish an 80% paperweight would be a great way to avoid the radar. You can then build AR's, AK's, 1911's, Glock's, 10/22's, and more from off-the-shelf parts.
>>30278995
The reason I didn't want the SCAR 17 is because it's just too much firepower for what I need at the moment, not to mention 7.62 is really fucking expensive
>>30278881
>P238 or P928
Are you high? The already too big P238 or the morbidly obese P938? They're not even subcompacts. They're better than a Glock 42, but the Glock 42 is total shit.
>a handgun and rifle
P320 and an M&P Sport II
>PS90
not unless you have a 5.7x28 rated .22 suppressor
>SCAR-16S
AR-15, MCX, SLR-104, FNC+sear, FAL, SCAR-17S, whatever. Just not the 16S.
>AUG
Easy there, meme master. You are not too good for an AR-15.
can we get a turboprop aircraft thread going?

Anyone here ever chop a shotgun?
I have a $70 20 gauge bolt action that I'm considering chopping down. Pic related.
Good idea? Bad idea? Who-the-fuck-cares idea?
Anyways, post your SBS's and 18.1 inchers in this thread.
I've chopped a few, some to SBS some to 18ish.
Putting a bead sight back on a barrel without a rib is the hardest part.
>>30278510
Not worth it for a bolt action. If rate of fire could be obtained it wouldn't be a bad idea to have massive spread. But if you are taking the time to operate the bolt the. You might as well take a second and aim with precision. Alright idea if it was a pump or even a single or double shot to keep a compact trunk gun, but a bolt action would just be an Obrez

Su /k/, LEO here looking for a new handgun for duty. Im about to finish my probationary period and then I'll be able to qualify with my own personal handgun and get rid of the shitty Glock 22 I got issued. My only personally owned handgun is a Sig tacops 1911, but the department doesn't let us carry 1911's or revolvers. Looking at getting a new handgun, anyone got suggestions? Been eyeballing a USP in 9mm with an LEM trigger and some of those 18 round mags. Rumor has it though we're switching to gen 4 Glock 17's in a few months though, should I just stick with that?
Glock 17L or CZ 75
>>30278540
why?
