I live in the Democratic People's Republic of Chicago, and I want an AR. Problem being is, we gots one'a them scary salt weaponz bans. I mean, the law isn't really enforced(nobody's EVER been charged), but I'd rather not chance it desu senpai, so I'm getting pic related.
Which upper do I get? I want to be able to shoot anywhere between 55-77 gr pills, so 1/8th twist? Projected use will be hawgs, self-defense, general freedom.
What would you recommend?

Hey /k/,
A couple months ago I dumped some routines and pages from my brothers training books (Pic related). Thread generated a lot of interest so I thought I would start it up again, dump some more stuff, and answer questions.
I just finished my bachelors in exercise physiology, my personal trainers certification, my certified strength and conditioning coach certification, and am now working with my brother at his gym. Older bro was a marine and we work with a lot of people interested in getting into shape for military service.
Since I'm done with school and have A LOT more time on my hands I was thinking of making this thread a semi-reoccurring thing in order to help people who are interested maximizing their physical capabilities in a military style of training. If enough people are interested and the mods don't shoot this down I am more than willing to generate some non-meme (/fit/...) Info graphics / content as well as keep the threads up to answer questions.

Thinking of buying pic related to store some guns of mine. I'm a pretty broke 21 year old living at home with 6 funs. However I live with younger siblings and as such they invite their friends over. Just feel weird when there's a party or something at my house and there's just 5 guns under my bed. I know its cheap chink shit but it will stop any curious teenage kid. Anyone own one of these? Advise? Just planning on using this until I move out and get a real safe.

My thoughts on this are that the first lock can easily get the owner killed because they can't unlock it due to adrenaline and stress, the second is a viable option but it seams heavy and would not fit into normal holsters but is quick on the unlock.

If mauser and 54r aren't too different price wise I'd think a mauser would be a better first rifle. It's a much more solid design.
