well, PA /k/ommandos which one of you is it?
I know who it is but I'll never tell

noice, just followed them on 220 for a while.
I have a nice leupold mark ar scope and a rmr on an offset mount.
I shoot my ar15 with kac micro irons most of the time out of preference.
is digital camouflage a meme?
seems like it would make shit easier to spot
>>34944024
i can barely make out your picture to be honest so its probably not a meme
It breaks up patterns and outlines more than any other camo. The military fucked up when it started using retarded colors in the pattern. But even blue digital moral camo on an f-18 will confuse an enemy fighter in a dogfight.

I have a particular interest in battles or situations where militaries are surrounded by a greater external force. Battles like this always seem to be an apocalyptic or hopeless situation, however some turn out for the better. Anyone else have particular interest in battles like this?

Talked to my dad today and he said his buddy got him a deal for "a 7mm Mauser and an M1 Garand" for $750 in total. I have no pics yet. Even if the two are sporterized beyond recognition is this something to look forward to?
It's some thing with a pawn shop, the guy he's buying it from is currently using it as an asset and if the pawn shop values just the Garand at about $400 then it oughtta be worth upwards of $1,000. Right? I'm not so interested in the Mauser but it's a package deal.
Y/N? Pic unrelated
Bump idk
750 for a not-too-fucked grand is good. the 7mm will likely be a Chilean Mauser. I've seen lots pop up, but mostly in shitty condition. Either way, 750 for a pair of project guns is pretty good.

Kill yourself leftyscum
Sorry for being a pleb who doesn't own guns. But I plan to own them in the future but I don't know much about gun laws. I'm soon gonna graduate college and I'll have to decide where to live, so my top choices are
1. Nevada
2. New Mexico or Arizona
Can someone redpill on the specifics of their gun laws? Can I conceal carry in all of them? Just gimmie the general gist of their gun laws. Thanks.

What does /k/ think about the conflicts in the Middle East?
Do you think the motives were just?
>>34943526
>What does /k/ think about the conflicts in the Middle East?
Massive waste of time and resources.
>Do you think the motives were just?
Not for Iraq the second time around, not really for Afghanistan either. We should have sent in SF to kill Bin Laden, dismantle AQ, and then leave.
Osama Bin Laden wasnt directly responsible for 9/11.
>>34943604
I believe the opposite
I believe that Osama did plan and carry out 9/11 and our government knew about it but never did a damn thing
just like pearl harbor
I have to spend $50 at Cabelas today. What should I buy? I was thinking I was going to pick up a cool backpacking cook set but all the ones they seem to have look gay as fuck and not any better than the shitty Swedish surplus set I already use. I'm a sucker for bargains so if you find something cheap as fuck that I don't need I will probably just buy it.
Ammo
>>34943456
i had 165 bucks in cabelas gift cards and i bought a lot of 9mm and deer food plot seed
when you have a gift card, but something that you will always use in the future like ammo, as opposed to an impulse random object buy. it will help you out the most in the long run

Why aren't military personnel allowed to bring home captured weapons anymore? What's the point of going to war if you can't even loot your enemies?
>>34943431
Jews
your enemy might be using a weapon that is against the law goy, you can't bring a machine gun home, oy vey!
>>34943450
This! Weapons of war don't belong on our streets, goyim!
Whats best board to discuss joining the US military? My recruiter seems to be giving me an excessively hard time. I'll just keep doing what he asks me, but so far hes been unsatisfied with documentation Ive come up with. Basically, I told him about a time I was arrested, in which the charges were dropped, which happened over 10 years ago.
He insists that this can disqualify me, even though I wasnt charged. Ive went to both the courthouse and the police station, and they both told me everything has been deleted, and they have virtually no evidence that it ever even happened. the police department went as far to say that I wasnt even obligated to tell my recruiter or the military about those arrests, as legally, since the charges were dropped, they could in no way ever be used against me.
Is my recruiter just testing my resolve? Because thats what it feels like. I was hanging out with some losers when I was 19 and 20 but Ive been pretty much a model citizen since about 10 years now. Yes Im older (early 30s). No, Im not too old for the Navy.
>>34943171
You're told old to join any branch. I mean you can, but you'll probably break your back and get medical'd out. There was one guy in my basic who was like 35 or something going to OCS, but he was a career ironman triathlete. Also you'll be miserable as an E-1 with other people who were born in like 2000. You'll act tough like it doesn't matter, but it's one more topping to add to your shit sandwich. And as much as the military has gone to anti discrimination, ageism isn't one of the things, I ever remember being brought up.
>>34943262
I went to OSUT at Ft Knox in 2008 with a guy who was 41. He made it through. He was a little slower than the rest of us, but he still made it.
The Navy is probably the only sensible full time option.
You're fine, legally and in terms of age. Your biggest problem will be dealing with the fact that people much younger, and much stupider, than you are going to be telling you what to do. I would recommend something properly cerebral, with a small pool of applicants and a high standard. Int would be a good starting point. Basically anything boring sounding. It won't be, it'll be interesting, but it will keep all the kids at bay. Even if there are a lot of younger ones they'll be smart.
Do not be fucking fooled into thinking you can do the physical stuff. You may be able to. You will hate it, however. Imagine being in high school again, except with all the people who dropped out. And you are responsible for their repeat fuck ups.
Go Int/nuke/something and use your 30 year old brain.
Hi /k/ question for any of you .38 Specialfags, especially using 2" snubbies.
I'm looking at defensive loads and I currently have Winchester PDX1 BJHP +P 130Gr. After browsing the internet last night about defensive loads the feeling I get is that Speer Gold Dot BJHP +P 135Gr Short Barrel (which is NYPD and LAPD approved) is the end all be all for snubnose defensive ammunition with Remington +P 158Gr LSWHP (if you favor FBI approval) or Hornady Critical Duty +P FTX 110Gr (for easier shooting) coming in at a tied second place depending on how much bang you can handle and for reliable penetration PLUS expansion. Can anyone confirm or deny these claims or have any other input?
Anyway Defensive Ammo thread, what do you carry and what is it loaded with?
>Currently, the Speer Gold Dot 135 gr +P JHP, Winchester 130 gr bonded +P JHP (RA38B), and Barnes 110 gr XPB all copper JHP (for ex. in the Corbon DPX loading) offer the most reliable expansion we have seen from a .38 sp 2” BUG; Hornady 110 gr standard pressure and +P Critical Defense loads also offer good performance out of 2" barrel revolvers.
>Shooting is not too bad with standard pressure wadcutters and the 110 gr XPB, but not so comfortable with the Speer 135 gr JHP +P Gold Dots.
>>34943053
It literally doesn't matter. Pick a hollow point cartridge, run draw drills on it until you have tight groups, and stop feeling insecure about what anon thinks
>>34943053
Most .38 Special defensive ammo sucks, especially out of snubs

My advice, just get either of these and call it day
