So lads quite a while back there used to a namefag that used to make infodump threads on a lot of /k/ related shit. One I particularly remember was about planes. Any remember the guys name?
pic unrelated
i was thinking are there units or groups that is desgined to go and capture enemy weapons planes and ships and technology and use it against them
like some one who goes into the enemy nuke sites infiltrates the bases and lunches the nukes into it's own areas or hijacks enemy drones and bombs there enemies position
How much would you pay for a non matching K98K, s/237?
Can we get a buyers guide to rifles? I'm asking for a friend. (Not the AK guide)
Didn't see one up,
What did you just get /k?
I bought a Mossberg 930 SPX, I traded a Remington 870 for it, plus cash...
How did I do?
Pic not mine, but its right next to me keeping me warm
Rundown on the weapons/systems involved in the upcoming North Korea vs the World?
Hello, i was just talking to a friend about the CV-90 and he asked me "Oh so that's a tank?" and i really couldnt give him a good answer cause i didnt know what the differences are really.
So can anybody explain to me what is the difference between an infantry support vehicle (such as the CV 90 specifially) and a tank?
(pic related, it's the CV 90's Estonia got last year)
>>34940537
infantry support vehicle doesnt exist
and a tank is something that can hold liquid
>>34940537
Comes down to the role I suppose.
A tank would be I'll suited for blowing a room in a house to smithereens without taking a large part of the house with it. An IFV can do that but can't match some of the threats a tank is built for
A CV90 is an IFV.
I'm looking for a certain kind of pistol, but I haven't seen anything that perfectly matches what I want. Maybe somebody else knows about something I don't?
Preferably I'd want:
Full ambi/or left handed
.357 sig
Low bore axis
Reliability
A DA/SA external hammer system would be nice, but striker is fine too
Size isn't a huge focus, I'm tall with a thin frame so I could practically cc a c96, and I'd rather have a bulkier heavy pistol than something like an LCP
Lastly I need it to be available in the US
Any suggestions?
>>34940457
The gun I want doesn't exist either.
I'm designing it right now.
>357 suc
You can end your search right there. It dosent exsist unless its a glock
>>34940457
isn't there an fnp in 40 that you can drop a 357 sig barrel into?
What say you, /k/?
Also general /k/ humor thread.

>HAND OF JEHUTY
did they finally up and make ZoE canon to MGS again after they said MGS:PoOps is non-canon as-is?
Jesus christ MGS turned to trash after 3. In 2005 a bipedal tank with a railgun on it that could be taken out with a couple of Stinger missiles was the apex of warfightin' technology, but then all of a sudden Kojima gets his hands on the franchise and people are running around with robot arms in 1969 and the level of technology is literally higher than in their actual dedicated sci-fi high speed mech franchise.
also reported for /v/ shit

An additional allude to video games is not a violation of the rules. Half this board would be out by similar logic.
Announcing that one has reported a post however is against the global rules.
How did certain people just end up being really fucking good at warfare? I mean nowadays we have military academies and thousands of years of written knowledge on tactics and stratagems but how did people like Genghis Khan or Hannibal become such genius commanders that their maneuvers are still studied to this day?
>>34940254
that written knowledge comes from people who invented it, geniuses are the ones who come up with that stuff in the first place.
Genghis Khan's success was pretty simple
>1. he was really pissed off at a lot of people, for some pretty good reasons
eg. Mongols killing his father, selling him into Chink slavery, foreigners killing his friends, etc.
>2. he was practical
eg. promoting based on ability in a time when that wasn't common, choosing Turkic as the language of the army instead of Mongolian, recruiting from the people he conquered, adopting customs from the cultures he conquered
The second is what gave him success, the first is what drove him.
Hannibal, I think he took a lot from that second point too. Plus, war was the family business for him.
Join the army when you're eight. If you're not dead by the time you're 20, you might be a decent leader.
WHats so bad about a carbine length gas system on a 16" barrel?
Not much, as long as the gas port is .062 and you at least have an h-buffer.
You might experience more parts wear.
>>34940237
It's not horrible. But it is overgassed
It's alright, but a bayonet won't fit right and it will look weird. Carbine gas in general is a bit tough on the action
>latin gangs in spain are too poor to afford a real gun
they use blank guns and blank bullets with a buckshot pellet i think
is this the equivalent or a 22lr?
>>34940228
>is this the equivalent or a 22lr?
Idk, but this is the equivalent of blatant stupidity, blank guns barrels aren't rated anywhere near the pressure developed during the firing of modern ammunition, be it a crudely fitted buckshot.
> Source
I tried.
>>34940241
>> Source
>I tried.
you didnt try hard enough, apparently
>americans in charge of engineering
>>34940228
A single buckshot pellet?
No that is in no way comparable to a .22lr.
The single pellet is not big enough to engage the rifling, helping it stabilize after it leaves the barrel.
Plus depending on the barrel size most of the gas will vent around the pellet, decreasing it's velocity.
The only way I can see this killing, let alone injuring someone, is if you shot them point blank.

Theres no way these highly trained captains are ramming other ships this frequently, and only in Asain bays.

USN BTFO
Probably a management/training/culture problem in the 7th fleet brought to light by the extremely busy waters around east Asia.

Laughed so hard vomit came out
Cheers
How good are these in 6.5? My pops has a chance to grab one for 800 and I don't know shit about them.
Do it. At that price they're a phenomenal rifle. Easy change barrels for cheap that are stupidly accurate. A small thing that could be wrong but fixable are the hand guard not being square to the upper receiver. At $1400 I'd say only if you want, but at $800 you're getting a great deal, even if used.
>>34940057
Yeah that's what I figured, they retail for like $1600 so $800 seems like a steal for a rifle that seemingly has never been fired. Thanks!
>>34940108
no quite that high, but even if you were to just turn around and dump it on arms list for 1100 its a no brainer.
Well it's time to move! And I discovered an extra $4k in credit just waiting to be converted into debt!
Last gun was a Steyr S9-A1 which didn't live up to the hype for me. Sold it for the money, but now having some breathing room I'm looking to re-hasguns myself.
Right now I'm thinking of getting one of the following:
>Glock 26
>Kahr CM9
>CZ 2075 RAMI BD (decocker and night sites)
>HK P30sk w/LEM trigger and night sites
I'm planning to IWB or maybe pocket if I get the Kahr. And yes, I know these are somewhat different guns, which is precisely why I'm seeing some experienced opinions to compare them.
