Which one is the superior bomber, /k/?
>>33773168
B-17 was designed before the Bf-109. You can't really compare the two.
>>33773186
what the fuck are you talking about? you can compare the b-17 to the b-24
>>33773202
ok then, b17 was more beloved by its crew than the b24, but by performance the b24 was better
Quick question: Would it be possible to hip-fire an MG-42 or MG-3 while standing or walking if you used a modified bipod as a sort of horizontal front grip?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is not really.

Hi /k/,
I have recently reconnected with some incredibly paranoid friends, and we were talking about the kinds of armaments that would be best for an armed resistance against police or military forces on US soil. Reliable and cheap semi auto rifles are plentiful (in general, depending on state), but there's a role that I haven't been able to find a good rifle to fill : Anti-materiel or anti-vehicle rifles.
I'm talking rifles that have the capability to meaningfully damage an unarmored vehicle's engine block with one shot at long ranges. Pic related is the kind of machine I'm referring to.
If you had to equip a 300-person militia with 40 to 50 specialized rifles, modern or otherwise, that fire a huge caliber round, my question is this :
What would your go-to rifle be?
I am looking for something that's widely available (rifle and ammunition), on the low end of cost, and I don't give two shits which country made it if it's a good working weapon.
22lr. It'll bounce around the engine block

This can fit on standard ar15 lowers, but i'm not sure about the anti-vehicle capabilities of .50bmg
>>33773155
OP here.
It's something I've thought about (the caliber, not that upper). I'll look into the ballistics and see if I can find someone who's done the homework for me, thanks.
Also, HOLY ASS. Took me a second to see the upper.

>>33772784
>nerf is making firearm parts without an FFL
call the ATF
>>33772784
I feel like that could hold way more than 6 147gr bullets. They are like an inch long.
>>33772784

Much better once Trump-senpai and the progun community repeal all the gun laws of the earth.
But on a serious note I hope he gets off early on parole or even manage to appeal because this kind of shits on freedom of speech even though allen's a retard.
Is there any point in trying to put an optic on an SKS without drilling into the receiver? The dust cover rails, after you file them down, apparently lose zero instantly as the bolt bangs against them and the ones installed front of the action require such a long eye relief you really can only put a red dot on it.
op cant see the effective range of minute of side of barn

It' an sks, why scope it?

some magnification is useful even if it can't hit out 400 yards.
Hey, /k/ -
I'm relatively new to shooting and want to get myself a starter scope for my .308 rifle. Budget: $200-300, hopefully closer to the first number than the second. I was thinking of a Leupold VX-1 or VX-2 (What exactly is the difference between the two that makes the VX-2 worth a hundred bucks more, anyway?), but I'll take any recommendation. Won't be using this for operating, so tactical shit isn't a concern.
What does /k/ recommend?
>>33772538
Iron Sights
Iron sights preferably, if not then the Burris full field 2 is a lot scope for your dollar, couldn't tell you about Leupolds.
What kind of distances are you going to be shooting at? Get whatever is best for what you see yourself shooting.
What do you do if you're mugged/attacked while pumping gas? You can't fire a gun in that situation, right?
>>33772079
are you retarded?

Pull out the hose and spray him with it.

He's watched too many movies. Yep.
Why do Fox, CNN, ABC, and others insist on misidentifing the helical magazines on North Korea's AK's as "grenade launchers"?
>>33771381
Because helical magazines are unusual and resemble grenade launchers to people uninitiated with firearms

Not gonna lie that trailer was pretty bamf,
>tfw i know the games going to be shit because the devs havent been able to make anything decent within the last decade
This is gonna get shit on cause of the title, but I'm looking forward to it. When you go in not expecting it to be realistic and just enjoy a mindless shooter, It's fun times. All the future stuff turned me off the series, but I will probably buy this one, if not at least for the nostalgia before I trade it in.
>>33771262
If it's as good as WaW I'll be happy. The WaW missions were so damn short, but the gameplay was nice and they knew how to hit your emotions. I hope this one does the same for longer.
So much for the Russia import ban being lifted.

>>33770802
that blade would be both hard to sharpen, and hard to use
Why not just make a 4.5" drop point blade? that would be so much more practical
Why is the B-52 always referred to as the "venerable B-52"? Is this some kind of running joke? It seems like every publication calls it that.
Because it's old as fuck.
>>33770130
A B52 is in fact a B52
The B52 also happens to be venerable by nature of its service life and capabilities
As such people may call a B52 (that is in fact a B52, that is also a B52 that is venerable) "The venerable B52"
I mean i only has the radar signature of a football field....
