Somethings that my girlfriend/family/friends knows and what is really the truth:

I told her that the I am renting the place I am staying.
I already bought it before I even met her.
I don’t own any property except my trusted laptop.
I live somewhere in S.E. Asia and I own several real estates (6 in total) in different provinces and all are being rented.
I don’t own a credit card
I own 3 CCs from 3 different banks with quite a generous limit each.
I keep a different bank account which I pretend to be my payroll account (regularly transfers money to that account not big enough, just to cover the bills and extra cash). Note: my actual payroll account is never touched, that acts as my savings also. I live off through my trade and real estate earnings alone
I’ve never been to other places.
I had already toured through my country and other asian countries as well (4 different countries in total). Note: I’m not a picture guy, I prefer to enjoy the moment rather than busy myself taking pictures.
I don’t know how to drive
I know how to drive :D
In summary, I can retire now and live a cozy life which my partner does not know about.

I really love her because she is genuine and is really contented with what we have. Like just eating foods off a street cart, noodles and basically all the things that people do without regard/desire for luxurious things.

Right now I am in a dilemma on how should I tell her about this.
She might get it wrong and see it as if I don’t trust her enough, or as if I am lying to her to avoid her leaching off my resource.


I had drafted my plans last weekend and I had just executed it yesterday.

Here it goes:

First off to my parents.

I started my day (around 7 am) as usual, with a cup of coffee and 4 pieces of bread (from a local bread shop just along my street) paired with sunny-side up eggs.

As I was finishing my meal I reached for my phone beside my table and dialed my parents home phone-number.

I vividly recalled it rang 5 times before my father picked it up. With a husky voice he said "good m'rning, who's this? (they don't have caller ID)"

"Pa, it's (insert name here)" I replied. "Ow! how have you been? what made you call so early? Is everything alright?" he said it with a tone of concern.

I laughed at his statement and said "do I need to be in trouble for me to call you and mother?".

He laughed it off also and asked what is it he can do for me this early.

I told him in a casual way "Well, I've been thinking Pa, I think it would be best if you and mother can spend a little time-off on a holiday".

(my father is in the late 40's and my mother in the mid 40's)

Reluctantly he replied "Well... it does sounds nice but I have a job to do. (he's a policeman) And besides, me and your mother had not saved up yet for such vacation".

I paused for a while thinking over my plans on how I would be breaking it out to my old man. Then suddenly I said to myself, this is it. do or die.
