Anyone here learning a useless language for no reason?
I'm studying Macedonian because I genuinely enjoy the way it looks and sounds
Nah, I'm studying somewhat niche languages (Farsi and Urdu) but I'm hoping they will be useful down the track.
Punjabi
I secretly want to become a Sikh

Finfine, taŭga fadeno por mi.
Don't let other people tell you that you're wasting your time. If you enjoy learning something, you should learn it.
I'm learning Danish even though eveyone in Denmark speaks English anyways.

Yup. Studying Korean right now. It's been pretty fun, though I've lost my motivation at times. Today's been a good day for studying, though.

I'm learning German even though everyone in Germany speaks English. And everyone in /deutsch/ bantz me to hell and back when I post vocaroo links for pronunciation.
Who gives a shit, m8. Learning is fun!
Took Latin for four years in high school. Truly ebin bantz in that class, and Latin is very useful for purposes like botany, other hard sciences, English vocabulary, learning almost any Romance language, and a ton of other fields. It's amazing how a dead language can be so relevant.
I'm learning Yiddish partially for entertainment and partially because muh heritage. It has less than a million speakers according to most estimates, and many of the speakers are quite old or use it rarely. Even so, I think it's a very colorful and culturally rich language. It's sad to see how Yiddish-language culture (especially secular Yiddish culture) nearly vanished.

Saluton!

Ah sorry, I didn't think you were another self-hating shithead.
