"He was so tall in stature that he overtopped the tallest by nearly one cubit, narrow in the waist and loins, with broad shoulders and a deep chest and powerful arms. And in the whole build of the body he was neither too slender nor overweighted with flesh, but perfectly proportioned and, one might say, built in conformity with the canon of Polycleitus...
His skin all over his body was very white, and in his face the white was tempered with red. His hair was yellowish, but did not hang down to his waist like that of the other barbarians; for the man was not inordinately vain of his hair, but had it cut short to the ears. Whether his beard was reddish, or any other colour I cannot say, for the razor had passed over it very closely and left a surface smoother than chalk.. His blue eyes indicated both a high spirit and dignity; and his nose and nostrils breathed in the air freely; his chest corresponded to his nostrils and by his nostrils... the breadth of his chest."
- Anna Komnenos, describing Bohemond of Taranto.

The primary achievements of African Americans were throwing out the terrible laws that made them unlikely to be able to do much of relevance.
As such, there isn't much in way of relevance outside of it for them, as they have only have had 50+ years with legal equality, and the slow forces of economics haven't yet equalized the wealth of black and white families even now.
So yeah, if you want African American relevance, they are 9 times out of ten correlated to the civil rights movement somehow. Even Muhammed Ali had to make some political statement about it.

Why are languages so discrete? Shouldn't they be more of a gradual gradient?
But they're not discrete. They blend together, and a given language varies both in time and space.
>>1180453
there is a gradient when there are similar languages in a large area
see: Chinese languages, Scandinavian languages, German dialects, South Slavic dialects, Arabic dialects, West Slavic dialects, Italian languages, Spanish languages, etc.
but very different languages like Polish and German have a much harder time blending and mixing
>>1180453
There is, in a way. It's just a lot easier to classify languages by what ancestors they came from, much like it's a lot easier to classify your surname by who your parents were instead of by all the random experiences you've had throughout your life that have contributed to your identity.

Yes
Stalin allegedly sent several failed assassins and Tito said "stop or I will only have to send one"

Was the Waffen SS Elite?
>had better equipment
>had higher standards (at least in the beginning)
>had reputation for being hardasses
But they also suffered higher casualties than the Heer. Some of this can be chalked up to them being put in extreme situations more often, however alot of it can also be blamed on incompetence. So are they l33t?
>
>>1188024
Waffen SS were pretty much glorified cannon fodder, even Wehrmacht thought so of them
They were usually put in impossible to win positions because they were dumb fanatics
>>1188024
Not that much, they lost a lot. The US Airborne ran circles around them. Being fanatical and having good equipment doesn't make you the best, good training and tactics does.

Christians, what's your opinion on the "where was God" argument?
>We calculate that the human species Homo sapiens have been around now, Carl Sagan thought perhaps 200,000 years, I would say 100,000. In order to believe the Christian message, you have to believe this. For those 100,000 years, people were born, died – usually, many of them, in childbirth, life expectancy perhaps 20 years, 25. Earthquakes would have been terrifying. Tsunamis, volcanoes, mysterious events. War, famine. That was our life for tens of thousands of years. On and on it went. Now here is what you have to believe. You have to believe that heaven watched that for 98,000 years and after 98,000 years decided it may be time to intervene. And the best way of doing that would be to have a filthy human sacrifice in a very remote part of Palestine. And the news of this has still not penetrated to the rest of the world, and I don’t think will be believed when it does, and isn’t believed by me, and can’t be believed by thinking persons.
>>1183110
The usual answer is that humans didn't have souls until Adam and Eve.
>>1183110
It relies entirely on mixing two contradictory mythologies. In Christian mythology, the world is nowhere near that old, so the problem does not exist. Of course, I don't believe that for a second, being an atheist, but I still find it funny that this argument rests ENTIRELY on assuming two contradictory positions, and then fabricating a ridiculous deduction from them.

Why has the definition of "white" changed so much trough history?, In your opinion, what's the most accurate definition of white?
>In 1700 only WASP's were considered white
>Before WW2 Italian and Greek immigrants weren't considered white
>2016, even North Africans and half breeds are considered white now
Literally who cares besides supremacists and pollsters
Was discrimination against Irish and Italians about race or just religious bigotry?
Because I mean
There were already Irish and Italians in America who fought in in independence war before the massive European immigration...were they considered at the same level as new immigrants?
>>1184757
>Why has the definition of "white" changed so much trough history?
To suit the needs of those in charge better. Example: Italians and Greeks weren't Protestant.
>In your opinion, what's the most accurate definition of white?
European or someone of European descent.
