Jesus fucking Christ...
I just interviewed at this place for a network engineer position...
Walked into their NOC and saw this.
They just offered me the job.
Should just I walk the fuck away ?
>>54855294
You'll never be out of work trying to fix that shit.
>>54855294
no.
its completely normal if it is a communication company like ISP.
cable porn photos are taken in places where you have "static" infrastructure, project and so on.
every ISP that develops cannot even use stripes because its completely normal that you redesign your network while its growing.
>>54855294
THAT'S PROBABLY WHY THEY NEED YOU.
Just dug this out of my dresser.
its a fake
Ye fake.
May be worth 30bucks bro
Fake, wrist band chains are awful quality forgings, not milled
My new job is giving me a Mac(as in foldable computer not IEEE 802). 15" MBP 2016 to be precise. I don't really like large laptops and don't really know how to use that fancy drag and drop OS X stuff. My question is: how easy is it to get a useable tiling interface and stuff like rxvt-unicode, vim and misc X11 applications to work on macs? Do I need to worry about the high DPI? I'm not really good at those fancy CPU confusers and I'm not a programmer or anything so give it to me straight.
>>54855138
>I'm not a programmer
>I need vim
why?
>>54855174
Because I want to help poor children in Uganda.
Also, I am working on some simulations on the side and I am writing them in C with some parallelizing libs. They are executed on an HPC cluster but I generally like to develop them locally. Plus I just really like the block select and built in support for regex in vim.
>>54855138
>15" MBP 2016
those don't exist
Do you pull out your brand new smartphone or watch when you are near girls in public to get their attention?
Absolutely, girls get wet when I barely pull out my nexus 6p. They sure love stock android.
>>54855076
I make panties drop when I tell the girls how I get 4.5 hours SoT on my 2013 Nexus 5
I pull something out, but it ain't a smartphone if you know what I'm saying.
>hurr durr 480 is as good as an 1080 for only 500$ nVidia is over
Is this really how retarded you have to be to be an AMDrone?
It's an undeniable fact that it will draw almost twice the power of an 1080. This means in only 2 years, the 1080 will be cheaper at average, electricity prices.
Secondly, CF/SLI sucks compared to single GPU. It just does. Unsupported games, bad frametimes, bad airflow, more noise, bad G/freesync... If CF/SLI was a viable replacement, nobody would even buy high end cards to begin with, whether they're from AMD of nVidia
Thirdly, this is even what AMD are saying themselves you retards! They've officially stated that polaris is going to compete in low-mid end. We can all be glad that AMD has released a competitive card for the mid-end market. This is what most people buy anyways, and will put pressure on nVidia to lower their high-end prices. But that's about it.
>>54854790
the way it's meant to be shilledâ„¢
>>54854803
Point out anything that's not fact
There is no pressure, GP106 will be $199 and AMD simply can't compete with Nvidia in performance or power efficiency when they chose a bad Samshit 14nm LPP process

How does one quit being a Pajeet?
What kind of knowledge is required to find a respectful job in IT?
Is there a guide how to evolve from a Pajeet to a real respectful developer?
I know basic algos, Java, Python, C, Android API, C#, ASM, basic webdev.
I was happily dicking around doing some meme fizzbuzzs, basic re, simple android apps.
Unfortunately, its end of my meme life and I will have to find a job and I feel like I know shit. I was doing C# project on intership, unit tests, jenkins configuration etc.
Now its time to find a real job, whats in your opinion the best language/framework that could be eaisly mastered and that will allow to fast find real job.
?
>>54854768
C#
It's Pajeet tier, so that's why you can find a job
make something with a C based REST api (C,C++,Java,C#, whatever other "backend" language you like, not nodejs or one of these other one click tricks n shit. Actually learn it)
make frontend in html/css/js (here's where you use wanky shit, like bootstrap, angularjs, sass, jade, whatever) to interact with REST api.
Congratulations you can now make CRUD apps for business in any language you want for the rest of your life and never worry about not eating again.
>>54854768
Start by learning how to use a toilet.
OK /g/uys, WTH is this device? It looks like a keyboard with a small LCD screen ...
Has anyone seen this before?
Sorry for the crappy quality, here's another...
>>54854660
its an iphone OP.
>>54854674
This, obviously.
Can we get a FizzBuzz thread going?
I'm a Ruby guy, total PHP noob, how's this for a PHP solution? Marks out of 10?<?php
for ($i = 1; $i <= 100; $i++) {
$string = "";
if ($i % 3 == 0)
$string .= "Fizz";
if ($i % 5 == 0)
$string .= "Buzz";
if (empty($string))
$string .= $i;
echo $string . "\n";
}
?>
>>54854611
0
Where is the fizzbuzz
>>54854700
do you even code?
>>54854700
....what? The code is literally there
If you run that code it works fine, the first fifteen lines are this:1
2
Fizz
4
Buzz
Fizz
7
8
Fizz
Buzz
11
Fizz
13
14
FizzBuzz
>mfw got a used titan x for just 390usd
>gimpvidia 3.5
You're a real winner OP.
>>54854542
Nice meme, but that only applies to the 970.
But why? 1070 is right around the corner now.
ITT: god tier linux distros
>>54854496
Nice subtle desktop thread faggot.
Does it work properly yet?
There are none.
Hey /g/, quick question (I hope).
I'm a Python developer using cherrypy, jinja2 and pymongo (and some other shit) to create a website. Thing is, I now need to host this website on some sort of server where I can actually run Python/Mongo shit on (I'm absolutely insanely noob when it comes to hosting). Running my own server is not an option as I'm remote as fuck so up/down is so bad it's almost a joke.
Any tips?
Note: It'll need to be scalable in case my website gets anywhere, as in power, speed and storage.
TIA.
Get someone else to do it for you
Use heroku, then you don't have to worry about anything.
>mongo
>scalable
>hipster sjw dev buzzwords
I'd rather you don't put that piece of shit on the Internet.
What does /g/ use to listen to music?
I've been using mpd+ncmpcpp and pic related, but are there better alternatives?
How is spotify?
How much albums/artists are missing from it?
Is it good offline?
Other alternatives ?
It just seems like such a hassle, finding and downloading your music manually
My ipod touch 3. The home button is unresponsive, there's a huge dot of dead pixels on the corner, the battery simply died if I use it actively for 30 minutes, I hate itunes, etc.
But, fuck it, I love it. I f I just use it for music only, it stays for like a week. There's zero problem for the playback and the menus, other than the fact sometimes the album cover isn't appear. The fact it's 32 gb is also really great even if it's not that big.
>>54854416
Pic related
>>54854338
I still use my zune from 10 years ago. I don't use spotify, it has enough space I can put whatever I like on it.
It's a stupid question but what is the fastest way to fuck up an old computer running Win XP using command prompt? Is there a way to chain-run multiple apps to fuck up the processor?
>It's a stupid question
Correct, it is a stupid question.

How would you calculate the cache hit ratio?
>64 byte cache lines
>1MB main memory

3.14
>>54854293
Please help
afaik, cache hit ratio are measured, not calculated.
It varies based on data and code.
Honestly, are the action noise canceling really worth it ? I have the choice between thoses 2 earbuds and until now, my actual earbuds (sennheiser) did the work well in term of noise isolation, so is it worth it to spend 300€ just for a little less of noise ?
Sennheisers are awesome. For me they provide enough sound-isolation. With music at medium volume I can't hear most sounds. But I like to be aware of loud noises in my surroundings, I guess it's an evolutionary thing. Don't know what you'd be trying to achieve. If you're outdoors it's best to be aware of your surroundings, if you're I side might as well use proper headphones.
The problem with my actual earbuds is that after 10 minuts of wearing, they are full of ear-wax, so its not comfy at all

i have Qc20s and i don't know how you measure noise, but people have tested and found that they block out ~50dB of ambient noise. that's easily enough to eliminate the sound of light traffic nearby. it's admittedly scarily good at blocking noise.
if you don't need that, or don't want to spend the money (if you're just looking for a reason to reject the QC20s, don't bother looking for one other than "it's out of my price range", because that should be good enough; you're an adult), then get the sennheisers. i've heard they're considered more suitable for audiophiles but not as good at blocking out outside sounds.
