Why is the screen on my Asus transformer so shiny?
Can I do anything to fix this? It's very distracting when I want to watch something or take notes or do anything in general.

And why is Linux support for baytrail so bad? Wi-Fi wouldn't work when I tried installing Ubuntu, and Fedora refused to boot.

Cause Vim is for skiddies who can barely program

Vim attracts """desktop thread""" types who never write code and this reflects in the quality of development of Vim

Dead pixels never show up in screenshots. Screenshots show what picture your computer is sending to your screen; dead pixels are due to screen damage. The image arrives correctly at your screen (and therefore your screenshot), it's the screen itself that fails to display it correctly.

>gets mad and I am banned from the whole school network because they're tech incompetent

This was around 2003 and the computers were running Windows 98 so I assume it was difficult to protect local directories. Anyone else notice how retarded tech was at school? You could literally edit a file in the Windows directory and the next time the system boots, it would get stuck on a command line. On 98, you could also override the control panel settings block by finding a link to the control panel section in windows help.

Old windows was full of nifty exploits.
You could run explorer from the login screen.

I never tried that but I think there was a gif showcasing the exploit it.

Hey guys. 18 year old newb here. I have ten different recordings (short clips/no video) of which I'm meant to sync it all together in one melody.

How do I do this in an easy manner?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>54849492
get a DAW (a la Audacity or FL studio)

if not, then use a editing software of some sort.
Windows movie maker is free, and i'm pretty sure there's some freeware equivalent made for linux, but if you have time to leech, you could get sony vegas.

once you have your DAW/Editing software, simply load each clip into their own track, and make the necessary changes to properly sync them into melody.

My mom's laptop is about 2 years old, she said it reset for updates last week and it wouldn't start. It just kept on loading the DELL logo, then going to a black screen.

It's an inspiron laptop and there doesn't seem to be a way to restore it to factory settings in the boot options.

I did make a recovery disc (tried USB and CD). I went into the boot menu and launched using either of them and it would load the Windows logo to a four blue squares, then go to a black screen and remain there..

It is Windows 8.1 OS from what she tells me, and it updated to 10 about a week before all this happened.

I did run diagnostics on it, it said it was a hard drive failure. Dell tech support tells me to replace a new hard drive. It's odd that the hard drive would just drop dead like that.

How accurate is that, is it definitely a dead hard drive or is there a possibilty for a different alternative? Any advice?

>>
it's an OS error, if she boots the laptop after the initial boot it should work, i have the same problem right now
>>
>>54849415
What does that mean, and how do I do it?

Kinda surprised neither of these recovery disks would do anything.
