Yes, free from any social norms imposed by the heteronormative patriarchy.

Where and how do I place these to have better acoustics in my compooter room?

Here is a pic of foam am speaking of.

And this is how much of it I have...
>>
>>55240582
To be honest that is not really enough foam to do much for you. You got HW floors, a rug down would help remove echo from hard surfaces..i mean what are the current issues with your acoustics?

Should I go for a java internship or not? Just don't know If I'm good enough.

Might as well. If you fucked up it's their own fault for hiring an intern
>>
>>55240566
You'd have to be pretty bad to not be good enough for a Java™ internship.

Go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Don't listen to the racist dimwits on here, they're worse off than you and just jealous.

We believe in you honey!

I'll make this brief, I hope one of you has had this experience.

I have a Motorola G 2nd gen and yesterday it stopped showing me notifications. It also will not let me swipe down to see notifications or anything at the top of the screen. I also cannot access quick settings when you swipe down twice. The only way I can tell if I have a notification is when the light starts blinking at the front.

I have scanned all options in settings and nothing seems to be messed up. Online I can't find any real solutions other than factory reset which I'd rather not do. Unless there is a settings reset without wiping all my data and info. And of course I've tried turning on and off. Have not installed any new apps that might be interfering.

Could someone share his experience with liquidcooling systems?

-Are they worth it?
I mean fan noise is really annoying. Yes you can change your cpu fan but when it's about videocard fan it's a different situation, especially if you are using linux.

-Is it hard to assemble and build this system own your own?

>>
[Update]
>>
It's generally pretty simple. You'll have a waterblock that sits on your cpu(Same as a cpu fan/cooler would) and/or one that sits gpu, tubing that connects from the water reservoir, through a radiator to cool the liquid, then to said water block. You can use distilled pater and you'll need some kind of biocide or anti-corrosiveshit to keep the water clean, etc.

The harder part of it is planning out where to set it all up in your computer and planning how the tubing will run with no kinks in it. There's plenty of how-to's floating around.
>>
And it's worth it if oyu want super quiet gaming shits, and if you overclock things and need to really keep it cool.

Has anyone built or thought about building a new, high-end PC in one of these old ass cases? The only issue I can think of would be ventilation/probably no watercooling.
10 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
That particular case, I think, pre-dates the atx standard. I don't know if there'd be enough space for a modern motherboard, the motherboard mountings will be in the wrong place, and the psu and power switch connectors won't have the right pinout.

An early ATX case, on the other hand, you should be ok.
>>
>>55240225
in terms of the op, you are right, but even these pre-atx cases can be rigged to work

Yes I've thought about it but i've been unable to find a case.

Hey, /g/uys. I have to go to Alaska for reasons, for 12 months and I don't want to pay electricity bills for a heater and a PC while there.

It's a shared bath and the company is paying for the water, but food, light and lodging is my concern.

What video card would keep my keep my room nice and toasty through the cold nights?

Anything Fermi. Also, get a Pentium 4 or Pentium D.
>>
I usually shitpost here, but as someone who used to be outdoor manual labor I can tell you right now your worry shouldn't be what PC build you're going to be using friend.

Have a hand crank light, dry non-perishable foods, and make sure you have more than one pair of thermal underwear layers.
When I used to work in (and on one occasion even under this temp) -20F I had to wear boxers, thermals, a gym shorts then pants in that order, expensive socks, sturdy boots. A turtleneck, work shirt, fleece jacket, then outside jacket. Fleece gloves, with surplus army leather gloves over that, a scarf over mouth, glasses, an army beanie, then a standalone hood with included balacava.

I know this doesn't answer your question at all OP, but take this advice, I learned the hard way. You take anything off of your head for just five minutes and you get bronchitis and possibly pneumonia. I labored for 3 months straight with bronchitis that kept recurring.

Are you doing physical labor, or comfy office work?

I'm learning about the graphics pipeline. As I understand it, you feed it collections of vertices, edges, faces etc (aka meshes). After the vertex shader comes the primitive/shape assembly stage. What is the point of that process though, what is it actually doing? Aren't the mesh(es) already defined as a bunch of primitives?
