Should I get a second hand Asus GTX 780 DirectCUII OC for 150 and go SLI or wait a year or 2 and buy a new videocard? I maybe cant sell the old one then
I'd wait, just disable nvidia's gimping features and you'll be good. Also if you think it'll be hard to sell one old card, 2 will be harder
>>55353601
good point
also is a custom waterblock worth the money? i kinda want it but it scares the shit out of me how a waterblock costs like also 150
>>55353613
Not if it costs the same as the GPU
>>55353283
Because they don't make anything worth buying. Gtx 970 is better value than the 480 still, until prices drop
>>55353283
Because they're incompetent and practically broke at this point.

Does /g/ have experience with these upgradable closed-loop coolers? I came across it looking for a liquid CPU cooler, i found it pretty interesting since it's a closed loop BUT it's upgradable if you ever want to take your GPU into the loop too.
Any thoughts? It's pretty new but I see it on more and more sites.
>>55353251
Hmmm i do hear these are shit and tend to leak quickly though
maybe i should just go for a corsair closed loop
>>55353251
The cheap ass ones usually are terrible, but some of them are pretty good. I have Swifttech H240X and I like it a lot. However, Swiftech's RMA process takes forever and their Customer service is garbage. I had to RMA it initially because it was leaking from the pump.
>>55353347
hmmm many stories about leakings
kinda makes me wanna stick to air cooling or real closed loop coolings like corsair or nzxt or coolermaster or something
im pretty inexperienced with this shit too so maybe its not best for me to get these expendable closed loops
Apple has been using machine learning in their products for a long time: Siri answers our questions and entertains us, iPhoto recognizes faces in our photos, Mail app detects spam messages. As app developers, we have access to some capabilities exposed by Apple’s APIs such as face detection, and starting with iOS 10, we’ll gain a high-level API for speech recognition and SiriKit.
When will Android join the iFuture?
What makes you think we don't have these?

Yet another reason to purchase the new Apple iPhone 6S Plus.
You faggots sure know little about technology despite this being a technology board.
Android has an SDK for TensorFlow (as in Google's own machine learning API)

To play devil's advocate he could just have made that all up. Do I think he did? No. But really his channel is not directed towards the average /g/ user so why are you even posting this here?
>>55353215
I posted this here because anytime there's a thread where Linus is mentioned, it's nothing but kids assuming all of his videos and reviews are paid sponsors. Don't worry, this thread'll 404 in no time, I'm sure.

I thought Logan was the shill?
Can we agree that AMD has saved PC gaming?
Amd make better Cards, more quality in their Tech and AMD is 2 years Ahead of nvidia in Technology
AMD got better engineers than nvidia and is winning the race.
>>55353063
How much do they pay you?
>>55353080
grow up idiot fucker
>>55353063
>2 years ahead
Could you elaborate?
But can it power an RX 480?
Probably millions.
Would still need to throttle the 480
Can you crossfire nuclear reactors?
That might do it.
What went
wrong
?
>>55352919
>that heatsink
Would be much closer to a 980 in benchmarks if they didn't try saving such insignificant material costs.
>>55352962
It is at 1366 mhz
If the aib ones reach 1600 mhz i dony know what to expect
>>55353097
Reference design, as usual, Is a fucking disappointment.
For once I was hoping for a half decent cooling design because I wanted a cheap cooling solution that'll blow the heat out of the case.
Is my CPU bottlenecking my PC /g/? Is it time for an upgrate?
yes
upgrade to windows 7 or gnu/linux
>i5 bottlenecking
can this /v/ meme term just die
should I just buy more RAM and a 4k monitor then? Which one do you guys recommend?
How common are cute girl SEs in the field of software engineering?
Is it just like my Burmese cave glyphs?
In my university's program there are only 6 girls. They're all really cute. Good luck with the competition.
>>55352626
Are they Asian
>>55352599
In my uni SE program (I'm in CS which is separate, has 20 girls), there are around 10.
Also sauce?

>help me dump the easiest cert in the world

Hey /g/, starting college next year looking for advice on whether to get a laptop of a surface pro 4
Depends. While digitizers have come an impressively long way, I'm still not sold on doing anything more than quick jotting on a hard screen. I'll admit that I know a couple people who love it, though.
If you're not going to fall for that meme then it's probably best to just pick up a laptop with the best battery life you can get.
>>55352414
fuck off underagfe
Get a laptop. Seldom use my sp4.
In the market for two 27" monitors and wondering if Catleaps are still worth it or even a thing any more.
Would appreciate suggestions. Need something that can be arm-mounted. Doesn't have to be for serious gaming/video watching. Just want that sweet screen real estate.
>>55352287
k. good luck.
>>55352287
I forgot about these fucking things, this seems appropriate for /csg/ tho
>>55352312
Thanks. Cross-posted to /csg/.
Have any chromebook owners tried out GalliumOS?
Looks interesting. I'm thinking about giving it a try.

Thoughts?
>>55352240 Yet another shitty ubuntu fork. Just use lubuntu/xubuntu and install those proprietary touchpad drivers manually.
>>55352240
Why not MagneseOS? Keep with the +1 theme of C++. At least the 'Nobody really asked for this'-part they got right.
>>55352899
but what would be the point in doing that?
why is it shitty?
I recently switched to Windows, installed Firefox and found that the browser sucks for me. It stutters scrolling through pages with lots of images or gifs. I experience slow downs or response delay with ~5 windows and ~30 tabs open. Because all windows run as part of a single process I can't kill an individual tab or window if it becomes unresponsive out of the box. I had to install Tab Mix Plus just to get functionality I'm used to (tear away tabs, add them to another window, etc).
Looking to install some flavor of Chromium, but hopefully without Google's AIDs. Open to trying other browsers as well.
For reference, I have only 5 plugins, 1 greasemonkey script and 1 theme installed.
>>55352156
If I had to use a WebKit/Blink based browser, I'd probably choose Chropera
>>55352244
I'm open to ideas. I just want a browser with good UX where individual tabs/windows can be killed without causing the whole browser to crash.
Good addon support for an adblocker. Otherwise, don't really care about the rendering engine.
