Why am I forced by Microsoft to run all these fucking background tasks.
Because you're too fucking retarded to disable them.
Because you're too retarded to turn them off and prevent them from starting themselves again
Also because you're retarded enough to have installed Windows 10
Not surprising from a retarded redditfrog poster
>>58363431
Because you agreed to their TOS/EULA when installing the OS you fucking cuck.
hey /g/, remember that one time...
>>58363172
Hard to forget last week.
>>58363172
>Implying anything changed ever since
It's a well known fact that microsoft pays shills to spread FUD about other platforms and advertise their products, even wincucks in this board admit it
>>58363172
I like that /g/ better.
2 Google Home devices have been set up to argue with each other. Results are quite interesting.
Still a better love story than Twilight.

IT jobs (not programming related, that's not my area) are a meme. 95% of the day you don't do anything, yet everyone pretend to be busy. Today I there was LITERALLY nothing to do at the office (I'm a Middleware admin) and then a ticket arrived. It was some bullshit thing, just restarting some servers and voilá. The thing is, while he was doing it, another ticket arrived and he didn't do it. So the guy who opened the ticket called him. And he literally said "I'm on fire, sorry, I will do this on Monday"
Before you ask, I'm under training so I don't have any access to the servers. The thing is, what the heck man. I've been just looking at what others do for like a month and they truly don't do anything other than pretending they work. And when something comes up, even if it is something that takes only 10 minutes they will do it very slowly to look like they're super busy.
In some cases I even think they really feel like they're working.
I'm not complaining, but I feel like it's a meme that most of them have really good salaries and benefits.
>>58362942
Sorry if some parts of my thread don't make sense. I'm drunk as shit lmao
>>58362942
There's not enough work to be done today already, that's why bullshit jobs are invented where people can pretend that they are working. It will only get worse in the future.
welcome to every office job ever. Meanwhile field techs are working their asses off pulling 60+ hour work weeks. I really wish I just had 4 hour days, it can be tiring trying to look busy for the entire second half of the day sometimes.
What is the best music player?
mpd

foobar2000.
MusicBee is pretty good too.
This is mine btw (Foobar2000)
Wish iTunes didn't run like dogshit on windows, I actually like the interface
I'm utterly baffled how Guru3D can be so important to PC gaming and 3D graphics, yet maintain a website so ugly as sin. This website clearly last recieved a redesign when the Twin Towers loomed high over New York. It's so frustrating to use, too, due to a lack of proper sorting options. Most frustratingly, the site holds exclusive rights to host several essential programs, such as RivaTuner.
But enough of my personal venting. What about you, /g/entoomen?
>>58362875
Fuck you too.
It looks absolutely normal without modern flat bullshit and a million of scripts.
>>58362875
Have you seen opengl's and autodesk's(the guys who sell like every 3d modeling program ever made) sites? Its like every damn ux design has to use the "default blue" shade.
GREAT websites from the 90s? No problem, OP.

MacOS is not really a cohesive system, it tries to be UNIX so much, even paid the certification fee for it but under the hood it is pure garbage
I have a 1070GTX which I overclock to 1941mhz Core and +615 Memory and runs every game out there just fine but when it comes to Fallout 4 there are weird red and white artifacts. Is this a known issue with the 1070 and Fallout 4 or is my card just not able to OC that far?
The strange thing is I've been running it like this for months without a problem, I just noticed it when installing Fallout 4.
>>58362702
No, you probably have it with more games
Or you didn't notice or the game didn't demand so much from your GPU.
>>58362702
It's because there still needs to be patches and updates to the card you are working with. I would chalk it up to the fact it still needs time to be patched and optimized.
>>58362702
you are pushing the vram too hard
when a game hits the gpu hard and you have a unstable over clock, then you will end up with this artifacting
if i took exes and a application game that im playing currently and copy paste them on my usb would they open on linux or will they just be stuck and not open
lmao you're fucking dumb

is that a no or yes i said im new
Dr autism to the rescue

Not saying .exe files don't run on Linux but I would say it will not work under normal circumstances.
exe files are made of many routines, obj files, library calls etc that may be built against the the Win32 API. If there is the win32 API installed in your Linux machine the exe file would run. Otherwise, in most cases it won't
How do I get started on creating gui applications? What language should I learn?
>C and GTK3+
>C++ and Qt
Pick your poison.
By not using Java, Pajeet.
C++ or AutoIt
Why do people say that Chrome is bloated and uses too much ram when Mozilla is even worse?
Pic related, 500+ mb of ram with only 1 tab open
Why is this shit allowed?
less than chrome with one tab. aggregate all processes it spawns
>>58362663
Chrome will have many subprocesses which will add upto the same memory
Websites these days are very complex and your browser tries to make your experience smooth by doing some background tasks
I think this is a problem. Either make smart websites or insanely increase the system spec standards
>>58362961
Yeah, if it requires half a gigabyte of ram just to load 4chan then something is wrong.
I've just noticed that it's gone up to 800 mb.
Is this normal?
How do I do WebGL/OpenGL with only one matrix being passed into the vertex shader?
It clogs the vertex shader with unnecessary detail, but every explanation of matrix-based vertex shading I can find passes three matrices into the vertex shader.
Bump
I've not been able to find this information anywhere, and asking it in SQT or DPT just attracts answers from those who know even less about the topic than me.
Last time I checked you needed 3 coordinates to specify somethings location in 3d space.
Disclaimer, I don't know what vertex shading or matrices are.

Wow
What a high quality post
Certainly lends your name a lot of reputation
B-b-but but what about poor Nvidia..?
http://wccftech.com/samsung-supply-audi-exynos-processors/
Nvidia is small fry compared to Samsung, literally doesn't register on their radar.
>Samsung acquires Joyent
>Samsung buys Harman
>Now this
Fucking Koreans, stay away from the things I love.
>>58362839
You'd rather want Nvidia's overpriced housefires in your car than a exynos?
How practical is mining bitcoin on a rpi3?

Not pratical at all.
reposting from lasts thread since it popped

Is Python a meme language? What are some meme languages that I should avoid?
Yes, Ruby.
>>58362524
>Is Python a meme language?
First of all, why do you think that?
>>58362524
Avoid Python, Rust, .NET framework, and especially VB.
