I'm not really sure where to ask this but can anyone tell me or post their default screen sharing settings under "remote management" for macOS sierra?
I have a suspicion one of my faggot roommates that gave me his old mac has been screen sharing my computer without my knowledge. He has a huge crush on me and has unfettered access to the network and is very tech savvy. (hes a sys admin)
He also set it up before he gave it to me.
"Show when being observed" was unchecked when i looked at it. Just wondering if thats the default or if he manually went in and changed it
>>58366600
Looks like remote management is off
>>58366637
i turned everything off before i took the screenshot

those are defaults
...and you better do it.

I want real anonymity, not """(((anonymity)))""" where the site or app owners know my IP and phone number.
requirements:
- must be active, not a ghost town
- must allow Tor
- no phone number required
- preferably no email required
I'm thinking reddit and voat, and possibly Gab with Protonmail.
Will be using on Linux with Tor.
The site owner will always have your IP unless you proxy. You'd rather sites track you by IP than with cookies.
And no, just no, the most anonymous social media site that's active is 4chan. Tor isn't allowed because pedos and spammers.
>>58366195
Facebook kek. You sign up with your throwaway identity from a cafe and disposable device then get access to their tor servers for login.
But actually you want https://sealion.club

>The site owner will always have your IP unless you proxy.
Dumbass faggot, what the fuck do you think Tor does?
>You'd rather sites track you by IP than with cookies.
Tor blocks them.
>And no, just no, the most anonymous social media site that's active is 4chan.
Fuckface, the jannies and mods know exactly who you are with your static, residential IP.
>Tor isn't allowed because pedos and spammers.
Neither are VPNs, so there is no anonymity.

How many users? It looks like a ghost town.
Hi /g/
you guys were absolute bros the other day, so I come to you again seeking help with scrub-level html issues.
I'm building peanutcat.tk (a simple portfolio for game art), and since I'm using tumblrs webspace I have a single html file in which to do all my coding. I managed to create 2 sections using this guide:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8211128/multiple-distinct-pages-in-one-html-file
However when trying to create more than 2 sections I run into all kinds of issues that make no sense to me.
Would really appreciate some help. Will dump qt's as token of my latitude. I mean gratitude.
Fuck off and kill yourself, retard.
This thread is a perfect example of why you shouldn't spoonfeed these fucking retards.
You truly deserve to be gassed.

Just got a brand new notebook with an SSD (Kingston SSDNow). The only computers I've had until now have been desktops and a laptop with no battery, all with traditional hard drives.
How do I make sure the battery and SSD last as long as possible? I've been cautious as fuck specially with the SSD. I try to make minimal downloads and not hibernate the computer to not write too much to the drive. I've also tried to make the battery stay as close to 50% charge as possible... is this a good way to make it last longer or am I just worrying too much about everything?

sounds like your a poorfag, how about stop being poor so that when your computer breaks you can afford a new one

I still occasionally use it when I need something quick and dirty.
I can't really think of a role VB6 would play that could not be better played by other modern languages. In fact, I can't think of a good reason to use ANY BASIC language.
Would your laptop save your life /g/?

My thinkpad could probably take a bullet and still work.

If BSD gets a general, I think it's fair to ask that actual useful software gets its own general.
Don't work at a company where an overly-emotional, gossipy woman is in charge of your paycheck.

Always ask up front what the ballpark salary is for a position you get recruited for so you don't get half way through the negotiations jumping through hoops of doing multiple whiteboard interviews only to find out they're offering McDonalds money
>women in tech
This was honestly the worst idea in the last 100 years, at least forcing them into tech and making it extremely easy for them to gain employment. They just don't want to be there, they just don't understand the mentality that works in tech. Of course it's "competitive and arrogant," idiots, how else do you get people to care about something that can be done either very badly or beautifully completely depending on the developer?
Inb4 my boss has me interview hundreds of meek women of colour to replace me due to not being a cultural fit.
>>58366029
>implying I wasn't simply glad the NEET years were over
Who the fuck is giving all this really, really shit advice? Gen x, shit changed, you changed shit, things don't work that way anymore, literally no one appreciates assertiveness from young people.
Oh you're debating salary? Bang, that's just another reason HR will use to hire a foreign person and then use it as a position to virtue signal about how greedy white men are and how needy and deserving women of colour are.
You're simply not getting McDonald's money from a job that had "bachelor minimum" on the job application. Every white man under 30 has a bachelor because he knows most people can't even get jobs with degrees let alone without them.
>inb4 child larping as his retired grandfather who might have actually gotten a job with a firm handshake
You're larping. It's obvious. HR hate white men. That's obvious too. It causes serious youth unemployment problems.

can you try being less of a drama queen?
hey /g/ I got a new external (usb) audio interface and every 30 seconds or so all audio will go silent for a fraction of a second then resume. It doesn't seem to be a buffer size issue as there's no clicking/buzzing (more of a one time thing) and it's consistent regardless of the buffer I set.
it seems to occur more often when i'm doing more intensive things e.g. many tabs open, using fl studio while browsing etc.
model is yamaha/steinberg ag06.

I know the solution, but you seem like one of those trendy youthful types who acts like a bit of a homo and creates music with stupid made-up names like "glitchop" and "surf & turf". Sorry.

Windows 10 at work and I can't be arsed to change my urxvtd config at home since it just werks.
>>58365655
I compiled it and tried it out earlier today and I'm not impressed.
It crashes on trying to display a lot of different examples of binary data and was consistently slightly slower than urxvt at printing 10 million lines of text despite the developer's claims to the contrary.
I don't see any reason to use it
The first one: is a widescreen iPod with touch controls. The second: is a revolutionary mobile phone. And the third is a breakthrough Internet communications device.
So, three things: a widescreen iPod with touch controls; a revolutionary mobile phone; and a breakthrough Internet communications device.
An iPod, a phone, and an Internet communicator. An iPod, a phone … Are you getting it? These are not three separate devices, this is one device, and we are calling it iPhone.
Note 7 cuz now we all know how much manufacturers will check flammability this year.

Would add the introduction of Siri and other voice assistants. Google Now is one of my favorite thanks about owning an Android phone.
Why aren't you using Haskell, you filthy goyim?
WTF is a Haskell? Is that what they call those jew hats?
do your subs also run haskell?
GHC fucked my ubuntu subsystem for windows. Sys calls to timer not supported unless in the fast ring of dodgy updates.
Are amplifiers basically just a huge volume button? Is their sole purpose to take "silent music" and turn up the volume without losing the quality?
Yes, exactly that, congratulations you got it figured.
>>58365516
Not sure if you're ironic. I honestly can't figure out what they're for, never owned one. I mean they clearly have other purposes. But is that where they get their name from? The original purpose? For the life of me, I cannot figure out why do these things cost thousands of dollars.
amplifiers take a weak signal and amplify it, so basically yes, but calling it a volume button is so dumb it makes my head hurt.
Ok I have a Hackintosh that I dual boot with Winshit 10.
I'm under macOS 99% of the time, the rest is for gaming and VR.
I have a GTX1080 but I took it out and got 2x980Ti Hybrids because nVidia is a greedy piece of shit that won't release Pascal drivers for macOS (but miraculously keep releasing Maxwell drivers).
So anywho, about to sell the GTX1080. Good idea my bros?
BTW I love the 1080, it's quiet, fast, and murders everything you can throw at it.
P.S. I know SLI sucks but it's the best I can do right now :(
Thoughts appreciated.
>>58365502
I did that for 6 months. The iGPU sucks balls.
I need CUDA for Adobe apps in macOS...and also use Octane with Cinema4D (it uses both GPUs, even though macOS doesn't support SLI).
