Purchased a new SSD to install Linux on to run alongside/potentially take over my Windows partition. What are some thoughts on distros you've used or are running? Trying to decide what I should run myself.

Ran Ubuntu in the past, it works, but it was a little bland and >Canonical.
Had a look at Linux Mint but have held off so far due to the prior security concerns.
Considering trying out ElementaryOS since it looks so nice, but just not sure what the performance is like being such a young distro.

You should install Solus.
>>
After Ubuntu I personally went to Debian, which was nice from a customization standpoint. If you're done with Debian-based distros, try Fedora or openSUSE. Also,

I never bought one, but I heavily researched them.

Using them as a private library is kind of nice. In theory, you can even stream movies from them. And then of course you will get automatic backups of data just in case.

Actually, this post just made me want to buy one. I think if I got a new job, this is how I will celebrate.

But, hot swap bays are pretty good too. You cannot really stream over the network from them though.

Kaby Lake has been released! Skylake is depreciated if corresponding chips are similarly priced (e.g., i5 7600K vs i5 6600K)!
>Some motherboards will have a one-click, 5GHz on air OC button that works for 80% of i5 7600Ks
>100 series chipsets (Z170, B150, ect) don't work out of the box with Kaby Lake
>Z series chipsets have an "Enhanced Turbo", which allows all cores to run at the highest single core boost clockspeed (works for Skylake CPUs as well)
>Pentiums now have hyperthreading, and are thus the new default budget / entry level gaming CPUs
>Pentium G4560 is the best price / perf four thread CPU on a modern platform
>All Kaby Lake CPUs work natively with 2400MHz DDR4 memory
>Do not underestimate the impact of fast (>2400, e.g, 3000MHz) RAM in conjunction with a Z series chipset, which often provides as much of a performance boost as a CPU overclock

So I'm working on putting together my ultimate aesthetic dream PC but it's kind of a slow process because I don't fully know what I want yet and I'm upgrading as money comes in. My plans are to eventually have a fully modded out system with custom cables, cooling and painted parts.

One problem I'm facing now is I absolutely hate how my MOBO looks but I've been told by many people not to upgrade my MOBO/CPU yet as the advancements are pretty incremental. So I'm trying to get parts to set myself up for an eventual upgrade into better unit, but for the time being I am going to make the best out of what I have.

I just purchased a fully modular PSU, white cablemod set and another 8gb of the same RAM which I intend on painting white. With all that being said I have a few questions here to help guide myself into a better understanding of what I want to do:

- Should I work towards getting another gtx 1070 when the price points drops for the SLI setup?

- What should I be reading to get a better understanding of how to build my own liquid cooling system (or should I just get a corsair CPU closed system)

- Where is the best place to get a backplate for my GPU?

- What should I use to make a cover for the mobo sockets ( top arrow )

- Can I use electric tape to cover the exposed wires ( lower arrow )

- Would getting a soundcard improve the sound quality from my current speakers?

Anyone else have any PC modding tips? Where should I take this build?

MOBO: Asus P8Z77-V LK
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K
GPU: MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (Armor)
RAM: Ripjaws X G.Skill 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
PSU: Corsair RM850X 850W Modular
DRIVES: 111GB OCZ-VERTEX3 (SSD) / 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA)
COOLING: Hyper 212 Plus CPU
LED: NZXT Hue+
CHASSIS: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 Cube Case (White)

Hello, I'm trying to make the numbers on column F equals to those on column G through a formula and I need some help.

The formula I'm using is:
IF('cellToTheLeft'='cellToTheTopLeft'−(100÷45); (('100-CellToTheLeft')÷(100÷45))+'cellToTheTop'+1; 'cellToTheTop')

Where the first statement is the condition, the second one is the return, and the last one is the ELSE reurn.
The first cell value (F2) is manual input.
Column E is just X:[0 ~ 45]=100:45

The problem is caused by roundings I think. As it works for the 97,7...% but always returns ELSE after it.

But how is it possible? If Numbers can round correctly the first time, shouldn't it always round fine?

I "could" send the sheet to somebody willing to help me, but it's probably easier to make by yourself.

Let me do an example:
>pic related

IF('97.7...8'='100'−(2.2...3); (('100-97.7...8')÷(2.2...3))+'1'+1; '1')

This will return 3, for F3, F4 and F5.
For F6 should return 6, but the condition will fail(?!) and return the cell above it as per the ELSE statement, and so 3.
