How hard is to code a social network?
It's a message board with less features, so easier than that. I guess the hardest part about social network is scaling up once they get popular, you'll have to get into lots of meme tech like parallelism, distributed storage, etc.

how do you make cash off one?

Speccy thread. This is my main pc, I have 4 other pcs that I'm not sure what to do with.

My secondary pc, got all the parts except the case and psu for free when my cousin upgraded. Ignore the faulty motherboard sensor, the bios reads the correct temperature. I plan on putting either a RX 470 or 1050 TI in it, right now it has a cheap Raidmax Comet cse that came with a shitty 385 watt psu. I will upgrade it later.

Hey, i'm just looking for a download link to make a bootable flash drive for windows 7 professional for a server pc. Anyone know where i can find an iso and a program i can use to to mount the ISO file so i can boot it from my USB stick? Thank you!!!

Check the pirate bay for ISOs
To download from there, use a torrent program such as deluge, and make sure to select the right version, but do know that some versions come without product keys, which you must provide by yourself by purchasing windows later on

OK don't get mad don't get mad. I know everyone's going to get mad, and I'm doing this completely wrong, and there's some sticky I'm supposed to read, and I'm supposed to lurk for a year before posting, and there's some meme I'm being oblivious to, and this is against some rule that's going to get me banned.
I have 2 TVs, 2 computer monitors, and I'm getting a projector. My question is: how hard would it be to create some kind of hub where I could input HD signals from a cable box, computer graphics card, and playstation, and output HD signals to the TVs, monitors, and projector? How hard would it be to split the audio and video outputs so I could have the audio go to speakers or a headset and the video go to one of the aforementioned displays? How hard would it be to still use the 2 monitors as a dual setup in this manner?
Ideally, I'd like to have certain settings so I can tell like an amazon echo or something to put it in "movie" setting (computer - projector - speakers) or "game" setting (playstation - tv - headphones) or even just state what i want my inputs and outputs to be. Like "cable - projector - headphones." Or do it with a phone app or whatever, I'm not fancy. Could I set up some kind of screen saver for the unused ones? Oh God this is so many questions with probably obvious answers. Oh my God you guys are going to be so mad at me for knowing nothing and asking so many stupid questions. Maybe this is a really dumb idea for a lot of reasons I haven't even considered.
I apologize for the millions of faux pas I just made. I didn't even glance at another thread to get the slightest glimpse at your protocol here.
>>58657023
lol didn't read
>>58657023
i think it would be moderately hard
It'd be very easy to set up a splitter and just display the same thing on every monitor. You don't even need any active hardware, just cables. Audio should be reasonably easy too, as long as you have a motherboard/DAC with enough ports.
Having it adapt to your specific needs? That'd be pretty difficult. The easiest way I can think of going about doing that is some scripting through xrandr and pulseaudio commands. You haven't even mentioned your OS though, so I'm guessing you're using Windows - good luck with that.
So /g/, I'd like to know: Which GNU/Linux distro is objectively the most bloated?
>>58656938
2 minutes and nobody mentioned ubuntu, I'm surprised
>>58656938
Mint
Linux Mint has gotta be high on the list. It's Ubuntu + proprietary codecs and such.
can you really learn a new language with this shit, I want to learn French. any tips or other free resources?
You can learn anything if you really want it. If you don't want it and you're easily distracted then you won't learn anything in any situation.
I watched a lot of French movies and did duolingo once. I learned basically nothing because I was distracted by playing video games.

80% of their engineering staff has a PhD, so I'm sure they will figure something out eventually.
They're working on Korean and Klingon, so Japanese can't be too far behind.

This man is a true genius and the most valuable Google engineer. He's like a God at Google and not even the CEO would go against him. He literally made Google what it is today and wrote/worked-on all of their most important software stacks. He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Now, notice something interesting:
He doesn't have two, three or four monitors and he doesn't have some gigantic TV screen that kills your focus and distracts him from everything important.
He doesn't have some bullshit meme mech keyboard with some special switches that were forged by elves in Japan from katana-grade steel and lights that emit perfect sRGB colors.
He doesn't have a mouse with refresh rate so high that it breaks spacetime continuum every time you slide it across your desk.
He doesn't have a $300 pair of audiophool grade headphones.
He doesn't have some super-expensive chair with all kinds of knobs and adjustments that can can even massage your prostate.
He doesn't have some tricked out text editor with million different features and colors.
He doesn't run some super-autistic Linux distro like Arch that demands you babysit it all the time.
He doesn't have some DE with customized CSS US that you usually see in tons of threads on here.
He didn't even change the default theme, colors or the default background.
He can afford all that shit, yet he doesn't waste his time on it. Instead, he writes 100x more lines of code than you and is 1,000,000x more accomplished than you'll ever be. And he's infinitely smarter than you'll ever be.
So quit falling for fucking memes and quit craving all the latest bullshit that gets posted on here in these cancerous consumerist "generals" threads that just make you feel inadequate. Just learn your craft and get better. What matters is what's in your head and how you express yourself and not what you have on your desk.
Now go do math!

>>58656603
Both of them wrote brilliant code back in the days
Left one is a bit weird and has a very direct way of arguing.
Right one went a bit too far with his ideas about free software.
That's all there's to it.
Linus writes beautiful code. He has published some side projects that he wrote all on his own and the code is just wonderful. He also lives in the real world while still maintaining his open source ideals and supporting himself through his work.
RMS is basically a homeless loser who hasn't made any real contributions in the last 20 years. He is still super butthurt that Linux beet HURD (but hey, HURD just got basic sound support in 2016!) and basically tries to claim Linux because Linus used GCC and the GNU coreutils. He survives on the charity of others and speaking engagements where he spouts his insane, paranoid, philosophy. Basically he won't be happy until all the programmers are homeless hackers like him and all the companies are shut down. How people are supposed to support themselves and their families in that scenario aren't things he has to deal with because he is basically a permanent grad student. He does make some good points about privacy, but for him, there is no middle ground. Anything that may reduce your privacy even the slightest bit (like movie recommendations on Netflix) is evil according to him, and must be destroyed. In a lot of ways he show classic signs of mental splitting, which is a classic symptom of mental illness. To top it off, when he does write code, he does so in the style of the awful GNU style guide which is a crime against humanity IMHO.
So, in a nutshell:
He's a bird-fucking, self-absorbed, power hungry, toe jam eating pedophile that thinks everything should be free and everyone should be forced to share, who looks like he hasn't showered in years so as to create a static shield around his body to protect from aliens. He also created an OS without a kernel because he's basically Steve Jobs gone communist. Oh, and he calls himself doctor though he holds no PhD.

Ask someone with a Tesla M60 anything. No AMD shills allowed.

How illegal is it to log in to someone else's accounts if they made them using an email that belongs to you? Some kid has been signing up for a bunch of sites and services using my email address, and I'm wondering what I can do about it.
How did this kid get your email in the first place?
>>58656498
depends on your local laws
Where I am it isn't illegal unless you pretend to be them or buy stuff with their accounts

dipshits do this all the time. i have a fairly rare name and [email protected] gets me time cards, doctor's appointments, etc. for this numbnuts.
