Why was this cartoon so good, and why is it much better than curren X-Men movies?

Nostalgia.

I'd disagree, this cartoon was actually good.
Dan Harmon just doesn't have the time for it with all the other projects.
Haha, nice troll O-

What the actual fuck?

Source? All I'm seeing are articles from 9 hours ago saying it's still going

Why have some many Green Lanterns? Shouldn't the corps already learn the fact that it does nothing but tarnish their brand. If they have less Green Lanterns, more specifically 1 Green Lantern, that particular Green Lantern would be the biggest badass in the universe. Just look at the sad pathetic state that Sinestro is currently in after starting his own corps.

>If they have less Green Lanterns, more specifically 1 Green Lantern, that particular Green Lantern would be the biggest badass in the universe.
Not...quite true
>>83217089
Because if the Guardians employ only one person they would cover up even less ground as they already do. What is a sector good for if the GL just fucks around around one planet if theres not a galactic threat.
At least the human lanterns do
Arenyou asking why are there six human GLs, or why there are 7200 GLs?
Recently there were discussions about giving captain america a boyfriend.
Would you guys be okay with that?
Or would that ruin his character somehow?
>>83217086
Only if he got with a twink. But like a dominant twink. That would be hot as hell.
>>83217086
Would drop Marvel entirely if they pander to those faggots and does this.
Say what you want about /co/ and other nerdrage colonies, but at least they keep their fapfiction to themselves instead of pushing it to be canon.
>its a rape episode
>you will never be hunted through a forest while naked and pursued by a beautiful and cruel maiden
I've yet to watch Calamity Jane though.
>It's a hot springs episode

She makes the same face whether its rape or hot springs huh?
First official photos from Anastasia: the Musical (based on the Don Bluth film) are out
Changes from reviews +the audio that leaked
-No Rasputin, Bartok, or magic
-Villain is a government officalwhose father was one of the Romanov executioners, and who as a child heard the screams of the dying family
-Dimitri and Anastasia's connection isno longer that Dimitri was a servant who saved Anastasia and her grandmother, but he and Anastasia made eye contact at a parade and had a 'moment.' Lame change.
-A lot more historical than the film. Details about the Romanov family, their lives and execution, as well as details regarding Russia's new government are a lot more prominent.
-The only song from the film that is missing is In the Dark of the Night, for obvious reasons. A Rumor in St. Petersburg + Paris Holds the Key to Your Heart + Learn to Do It are extended and have changed lyrics. A few new songs.

I think I'm fine without knowing his list of favorite comic books, thanks.
Well, /co/, since Fox's X-Men Apocalyse is being panned worse than X-Men The Last Stand, Man of Steel, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, what will Fox do now that their movie is bombing???
Will they focus on Deadpool an have him lead the X-Men?
Will they fire Singer an get fresh blood (like that Deadpool director?)???
Will they reboot the X-Men?
Will they make a deal with Marvel Studios and have Wolverine appear in a movie and pay Marvel Studios to make X-Men movies for them?

Days of Future Past II
>>83216396
Just give the rights back to Marvel already. They belong with them anyway.
It's not dead normies love the movie people that not give a shit about comics liked the movie so they can produce more majority of the critics call the movie mediocre but enjoyable, the movie is shit yes, but if this make enough money they keep doing it
/co/ what are some essential or excellent Xmen stories i should read, anytime i try to read the stuff i get put off and drop it
Phoenix Saga
Fall of the Mutants
Inferno
Xmen/Micronauts mini
Claremont/Miller Wolverine
Windsor Smith Weapon X
Remender's X-Force
anything by Spurrier
do you mean story arcs or full runs by writers?
Days of the future past by Claremont is quite good, and very self contained, it was also very influential, as in, it did Terminator and Back to the Future years before they existed.
If you want something recent read Gillen's Uncanny X-Men, all of it since it was quite short, like 20 issues. And the Consequences of Avengers vs X-Men by him too. Although you may also need to read the Avengers vs XMen event which isnt very good.
I like the whole Morrison run of New X-Men, that was like 3 or 4 years, from 2000 to 2004 iirc. Although most people dont like the last story arc about an alternative future.
>>83216080
New X-Men
Remender's X-Force
David's X-Factor
Wolverine MAX
X-Statix
Whedon's Astonishing X-Men
I really don't understand what the big deal is with the Captain America thing. This kind of thing literally happens all the time in comics. In a couple of months it will turn out he was brainwashed or some shit and things will go back to normal
It came out at the exact same time Captain America was reaching the peak of his popularity and mainstream recognition with Civil War. People probably feel like Captain America in a lot of ways has come to be the iconic good natured hero Superman was once regarded as and are tired of shock based subversion.
>>83216023
it's just that now, with Marvel movies, people pay more attention to the comic characters. In addition to this, the internet is always a sewer where a minority is always trying to do a lot of noise for the most stupid things.
>>83216069
Captain America will never be iconic. It's just twitter people. It's pointless.
>$179 million budget
>$115.4 million worldwide after one week, not released in America yet.
Singer isn't going anywhere.
>>83215664
How many Twinks did FOX sacrifice for that ?
Budget was $235 Million
not $179 Million
So who else is betting Angry Birds will beat this out?
Who would you cast him as in the MCU?
Hawkeye
>>83215484
Nobody. He's a shitty actor.
Felicity Hardy

Anyone else pissed DC swept DCYou under the rug? Shit was awesome.
>>83215449
>>83215449
There was a lot of good shit that came out of DC You, unfortunately none of it sold.
>>83215538
Somehow Batman Beyond is surviving though. With Jurgens still writing and everything
Can't really be pissed when the fault lies in the shitty comics consumers who didn't buy the books
Technically not DCYou specific, but at least Gotham Academy survived. And Dr Fate somehow (that "Levitz gets a book" rumor seems legit).
Remember when all you anons were insisting, despite evidence to the contrary, that the leaked info which talked about a TTGxPPG crossover was fake?

Where's your god now?
>>83215274
Are they breaking the 4th wall?
It's not really that big a deal at this point.
It's kinda like that friend who does increasingly stupid shit for attention, and even if it could get him hurt/killed/humiliated, you kinda don't care because you've just come to expect it.
You still shake your head and wonder what happenened to this guy, but you don't really care what he does next.

We need a bigger trash can for this
