WHY. why would you put this kids cartoon BEFORE a KIDS movie.
Gee. I dunno.

Who's ready??
http://www.avclub.com/article/mondo-exclusive-over-garden-wall-soundtrack-coming-239257
>>84352899
I was ready back in 2014
Does /co/ like this show too or is it just for preteen tumblrinassuch as myself, deep inside.
>>84352855
we like the show
there just is only so much to discuss, I mean the show finished airing like months ago
hopefully Season 2 will be coming soonish and we will probably get some more news about it at SDCC
To be fair it is just a monster of the week show with a kinda mix of superhero and magical girl tropes, but that doesn't stop us from liking it
It's a weird show for me. They made an old cartoon for merchandising, with all the pros and cons that come with that. It cheaps out and reuses animation constantly to fill time and can be corny to a flaw, but it genuinely made its own super hero and harkens back to the fun old days of hero vs villain light hearted fights.
I would like it a lot more if it ended the season on a bigger bang. Jackie Chan Adventures is an example of this kinda show done better, where despite being mostly self contained episodes, they had a season long plot that they drove to the end and then would create something new next season. This show never really drove anywhere despite clearly setting stuff up. Hawkmoth is going to just keep turning people evil endlessly for a completely undetermined amount of time with no promise of any kinda big confrontation in any forseeable future.
>>84353008
were you not paying attention to some of the later episodes?
Hawkmoth knows who Chat Noir is now, there is no way that isn't gonna come up and he isn't gonna try to attack Adrien more directly
Be brutal.
>>84352633
You're aping The Oatmeal.
Works better without the dialogue. Bretty gud tho, can relate.
>>84352633
If you remove the dialogue boxes it becomes higher in quality due to the reader's imagination filling in the blanks.
Whats the fastest /co/ related vehicle
Probably that dimension hopping monitor ship from Multiversity?
Silver Surfer's board probably
Unless you count dimensional bullshit or teleporting
>>84352688
Is his board real board or he creates it with power?
/co/ unpopular opinion thread?
I really hate Steve Dillon's art. His characters all look like GI Joe dolls. I'm convinced the only reason he's had a lasting career is due to being attached to Garth Ennis's better stories.
inb4 "I liked BvS" or "AoU" this board is filled with too many of those arguments already.
Not an unpopular opinion around here, friendo.
It's also a bad opinion. Dillon is great.
>>84352378
That's not unpopular though. Most people on /co/ dislike Dillon's art, it's why FrankFace became a meme.
>>84352378
Dillon is great in Preacher and some of PunisherMAX, but yea, most of his stuff over the last 10 years is like a parody of himself; especially when it has coloring like OP's pic.
This was a pretty solid show
What do you think would have happened in the 4th season if it wasn't cancelled?
I didn't watch it regularly, but it was a pretty good turn on the monster-fighter card collection genre. Having to go out into danger and scan shit, and then use it to fight in the game.
>>84352330
>What do you think would have happened in the 4th season if it wasn't cancelled?
Somebody who had scanned Intress turning into her and getting into lewd adventures, leading to a confrontation with the real Intress, of course.
The card artwork was great
Was it love?
>>84352166
God i hate this episode. not because homophobeI already shipped them
But because it was so LITERALLY forced.
they were displayed as a gay couple through yaoi fanart to the entire town, who embraced the idea of them being an item (aside from Craig's dad).
No matter how much they denied being gay, no one really believed them.
Staging a breakup -- which resulted in all of south park pretty much hating craig for being a supposed "cheater" -- didn't even get the asian girls to let them go and stop drawing/selling yaoi art.
It's easier to just pretend and go along with it. Surely in time, they will actually grow to care about eachother (Tweek was already saying some sappy shit to Craig)
>>84352166
What is love?
Sad that these characters will only ever be THE GAY COUPLE now.
I liked them both as they were.

Jesus Christ, OP.
I am sure this has already been bro it up but did any one notice the scene were batman was about to kill superman looked just like this biblical image (st Michael and saitain).
Why dose Snyder believe shoving wester mythology into his crapy movies = depth. All it poves to me is that he knows nothing about wester lit or mythology, becouse their really is no connection between his plot and the allusions to the western canon. He's not a good director, he lacks the craft and depth of a good artist he so he smears 2deep4u crap all over he work.

We're is this? And, this just proves my point.
what is the best version of magic user you seen /co/? how do you have a magic user in a team without that character not just winning all the time. or worse losing all the time because they are to new or a bullshit thing is stopping them like Nico Minorus magic staff that limits her spells to only work once.
>>84351659
Naruto does magic (ninjustu/genjustsu) pretty well. Hell most asian media handles magic well. I don't get why the west has this hard on for vague omnipowerful shit.
>>84351659
"An author's ability to solve conflict satisfactorily with magic is directly proportional to how well the reader understands said magic."
So basically good and believable magic users happen dwell in the detailed and thoroughly constructed worlds (i.e. not Harry Potter-like shit). So answering the question: ATLA/Wakfu because magic so integral for the world and by extension for the characters that it's a part of what they are, without actually overemphasizing on it. The worst possible magic users are from superhero comics, where magic is just an another superpower made to make the character distinguishable and therefore marketable.
>>84351700
yeah fuck ninjutsu is pretty damn cool way of using magic isn't it.
it's pretty common to talk backwards to shout magic spells but I always disliked it because it makes everyone who can't use magic seem retarded that they don't try to learn a few useful magic phrases
By the power of Thundera.

He-Man will need a huge downgrade.
Interview
>When thunder and lightning combine, it makes for a storm. But this fall, DC Comics has its own elemental clash in the works starring two animated icons.
>CBR has learned that the publisher is prepping a "He-Man/Thundercats" crossover series, pairing the popular '80s toy and cartoon franchises for the first time. Launching in October, the six-issue limited series will be written by Mattel Head Writer and Masters of the Universe Lead Creative Rob David and Supervising Producer Lloyd Goldfine with art by Freddie E. Williams II who recently wrapped the "Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" crossover.
>The story will unite the headlining heroes thanks to a plot by Thundercats ubervillain Mumm-Ra, who searches the dimensions looking for a weapon that can defeat the fabled Sword of Omens. Of course, he lands on He-Man's own power sword, and the action ensues.
>"For everyone out there who took different action figures and teamed them up to take on the world, this one’s for you," David said in a statement. Goldfine added, "Writing this crossover event is the thrill of a lifetime, and Rob and I can’t wait to get started...You don’t wait 30 years and not go big!"
>"The Power of Grayskull and the Great Eye of Thundera have aligned to make me the luckiest guy on all the earths!" said Williams. "He-Man and ThunderCats were my life when I was in grade school—family and friends knew I loved both cartoons so much. I used to pause episodes and draw from them, since they were so awesome. The He-Man/ThunderCats crossover is the fulfillment of a lifelong goal and my fanboy dream come true! I'm having a blast!"
>Though they currently head up story development for Mattel's He-Man brand, David and Goldfine have worked with other pop culture icons in the past – notably writing 2009's "Turtles Forever" movie starring the TMNT. David also recently wrote for DC's "He-Men: The Eternity War" series.

Is this any good? What did you think of it?
One of the first graphic novels I bought. I don't remember much from it but I remember thinking it was good.

Probably my favorite Charles Burns. Hella good. This and Persepolis got my wife started down the path to general comic fandom.
