ITT: Characters who killed at least one of their parents
>oh hey look, an Indian! This could be interesti-
>*blam*
We all knew he was going to die but I honestly thought his design and potential skill set were pretty interesting or cool.
Someone had to die I guess but it's such a shame.
>>85457883
He seemed like a fun character. I actually laughed when he punched that chick, I didn't even meen to.
>>85458219
SS had such based moments in the beginning
/co/mrades! I do believe you should all give this Kickstarter a good look and assist with it's funding, it seems like it's got potential!

>>85457389
I see the potential in it as well, anon. But alas, I have no money to give it.
>muh self inserts
fuck off
>>85458095
Wait, how are the main characters self inserts?
Can we attempt to have a good topic about East vs. West? What each does well, does poorly, etc.
>anime vs. cartoons
>having a good discussion
Pick one.
>>85457041
why do all the animes have the same face?
>>85457041
not this late on a saturday/early on a sunday
You know what really broke the SS plot that no one else has mentioned? Why the fuck would the black woman recruit convicts when she is aware of Flash, WW, and Cyborg? She isn't afraid of killing innocent people for her own gain so why not threaten their families and shit?
She needed people she could effectively control.Trying to threaten a superhero's family is a good way to get your ass beat.
>>85456985
You can't control superheroes.
You cannot put a bomb in flash's neck(mostly because how are you gon caugh the motherfucker, secondly he can just vibrate and have the bomb phase through his body) and tell him "do this or we are gonna kill you".
Also if something goes wrong they can just say "aww shit we didn't know why they were there, they just died after something went wrong, not us, at all"
>>85457048
>>85457060
I was thinking of her putting the bombs in their families' necks
Does Steven Universe have more instances of "it's similar to", "it looks like", it's basically a rip-off of" than any other cartoon ever (That isn't an apparent parody)?
I have no idea what you're talking about
Maybe, however I don't really care for 99% of the things it references and is inspired by, but I like the show itself and would much rather watch it instead.
>>85456925
Almost every single element in SU is a reference to something, inspired by something, or similar to something.
>Peridot was inspired by Invader ZIM
>Peridot's ship even looks similar to ZIM's
>Jasper is getting very close to being Vegeta
>In fact, a lot of SU can be compared to Dragonball Z, especially in prop design and character arcs
>Lapis and Sour Cream coincidentally look similar to characters from Fantaman even though Sugar never heard of it
>The sheer volume of shot-for-shot references to the point where you can argue there is at least a one shot in every episode that are a "reference" to something (And this isn't even including prop references, like the Sanic or Pikachu/Moogle dolls)
I can't think of a show that passes itself off has having an original world while having this sheer volume of references, homages, and coincidences. I don't even think Adventure Time does it this often.
>the main character from the last game you played, has come together with the main characters of the last cartoon and anime you watched, to play Dungeons and Dragons together
what happens ?
>>85456687
>Last game I played
Uh...Dragon Ball Xenoverse, so that probably means my character in it? Rime, a level 95 Frieza Clansmen.
>last cartoon and anime you watched
Wait, are these two separate things? Because if so, that means Peter Griffin and Naruto Uzumaki. If not, then just Naruto.
This doesn't sound like a fun game.

>Playing D&D
For what purpose when we have video games?
>>85456687
In order to settle vs arguments, both sides of the argument would make DnD characters that represented the character that would be approved by the DM. If everything was fair, we would fight with the characters in different enviroments and see who would win. It wasn't the best all the time, but you could at least agree on the outcome. Man, good times.
I still can't get over it. Now that Suicide Squad crushed the chance of Jared Leto being Jason Todd, I have been putting a lot of thought into this new Jared Leto portrayal of the Joker.
The biggest thing I can't get over is why they went this direction. Having a joker that is drastically different from the source material is fine for something like the Dark Knight trilogy. It works because the series was never going to go more than 3 movies. I can't grasp for the life of me why DC decided to be this experimental with their movie universe. This is the DC movie universe that all DC movies are going to take place in for the foreseeable future, why would they do something so nontraditional? This is now THE joker that we will be seeing on the big screen until who knows when.
Its jarring especially because so far everything character-wise in this movie universe has been pretty traditional. No character has been reinvented the way the Joker has.
What are your thoughts on the topic?
>>85456262
>I can't grasp for the life of me why DC decided to be this experimental with their movie universe.
My thoughts exactly. It's so freaking stupid of them.
Lex Luthor too. Why go with something so different from what you'd expect?
Did they not realize that people were expecting the more definitive, iconic versions of these characters? Did they not realize that at some point, they'd need to have Eisenberg Lex and Leto Joker in the same room?
>>85456346
Its as if Marvel finally got the rights to doctor doom, and decided they wanted to use the cronenberg version from Fant4stic. Why experiment so hard with one character while the rest are so well adapted?
>>85456262
>No character has been reinvented the way the Joker has.
I would argue that Jonathan Kent was.

>“Sausage Party” is chomping away at the weekend box office, earning a higher Friday total than “Suicide Squad.”
>After its $13 million Friday earnings, the Warner Bros. supervillain film is taking aim at a second week in the $46 million range on 4,255 screens. The film smashed August records with a $133.7 million opening weekend, despite receiving mostly negative reviews.
>Its second frame looks to amount to about a 66% decline, which is at least in part due to the buzz surrounding “Sausage Party.” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which was also panned by critics, saw a 69% decline in its second weekend after a $166 million opening.
Where were you when DC was literally BTFO by Seth Rogen's talking wiener?
good
I want capeshit to die
Well. Both are shit

top laff
Tony fell in an arc into soft sand, Rhodes fell straight down into the hard ground.
What went wrong?
It lasted too long, refused to add and remove core cast and kept relying on 'Pam is shit and fat' jokes long after she became valuable to the team.
>>85455693
Pretty much, none of the new characters felt funny (except for barry ).
>>85455506

How much preptime does Batman A (Batman w/o Infinite Gauntlet and Power Rings) need in order to defeat Batman B (Batman w/ Infinite Gauntlet and Power Rings)?
