Superman by Frank Miller
>The grim city of Metropolis is being run into the ground by the ignorant government, who are keeping Superman down.
>Superman goes against the government when Lois Lane (now a fat prostitute) is kidnapped by Lex Luther's army of ninjas.
>Superman travels to the mysterious east to become a samurai
>He realizes that evil people have to be killed and the government just protects evil people, so he murders Lex Luther
>>85477530
See that's how you gave away you don't read comics
Remember when Batman murdered all those guys in all those Frank Miller comics?
>>85477530
Awww look the /tv/ poster is trying to meme
Why did this blow up as big as it did?
>>85477265
Cause normalfags have no idea about how comics are just randomly doing shit all the time before reverting to status quo and cause Cap has had a couple of pretty good movies so normies love the character.
the page was posted on tumblr first iirc, mostly just MCU normies coming across their first NOT MUH experience
because it happened at the peak of Cap's popularity in the MCU

This is probably the dumbest fetish ever.

>I want to get eaten and die
I've been going back and rewatching a lot of the original Teen Titans show and to be perfectly honest, a lot of the humor is the same as in TTG. I don't understand what all the hate is about. If anything, the humor in the original is a lot more intrusive and has that annoying anime aesthetic for every other scene, even in the episodes where there's supposed to be plot. That's another thing. In the entire first season, there's only about four episodes that are actually central to the plot and then you're essentially bumrushed with the sudden Slade plot. So really, is the hate for TTG just because people have nostalgia goggles slapped on for the original?
>>85476907
>a lot of the humor is the same as in TTG
No. The love for the original was due to the anime aesthetic, at least in part, so going to a full western cartoon style of animation and humor AND completely discarding any semblance of plot is the reason a lot of people don't care for it.
>>85476907
>a lot of the humor is the same as in TTG.
So you didn't watch the original show, got it.
Just post Raven and her ugly legs already, that's what we're all here for.
Why do heroes always win and villains lose? I'm not denying villains are evil in comics:but why should Evil lose??
Is this an archaic relic from more puritanical eras of America, where Virtue had to be prevalent over Vice? I think humans are pretty bad, yet;why do comics portrary heroes as ,precisely heroes?
Suppose DC suddenly made stories of the bad guys killing the heroes, then comics about them, doing crimes and stuff;how would people react?
just a random thought about comic-writing and modern reality. We rarely discuss comics beside discussing them as such on here
Priest is actually trying that on Deathstroke right now, intending to write it as a pure villain book without getting anti-hero with it. I don't think you can do it with the entire universe though since that's not why most people read or write about a superhero universe.
Because its an ideal to aspire to. Did you know comics can be considered a form of escapism?
>Suppose DC suddenly made stories of the bad guys killing the heroes, then comics about them, doing crimes and stuff;how would people react?
Well, apparently, people would forget about it pretty easily.
So a yellow sun gives him powers and a red sun basically makes him a normal person.
What would happen if he was on a planet with a blue star?
That happened I think, Johns Bizarro World story, like 3 issues of action comics.
>>85476698
So what happened?
I would assume it would give him stronger powers, blue light has greater energy than yellow or red light
So, what would an ACTUAL parody of Disney/Pixar movies be like, made by someone who has some actual knowledge and appreciation of them? Something like Galaxy Quest was to Star Trek.
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
Satan's Song was total Disney-inspired.
>>85476889
One hundred percent incorrect
You mean like Enchanted?
Thor
It's mentioned in passing that Thor's hammer was forged inside "a dying star." This actually makes a modicum of scientific sense. When a very large star dies in a supernova, sometimes its remains collapsed to form a "neutron star." These objects cram the mass of the sun into the size of a city, forming a new kind of matter nicknamed neutronium. A single teaspoon of this material would weigh billions of tonnes. If Mjölnir was made of this material, it would certainly explain its incredible weight.
>>85476604
But then the radiation emitting from it would be enough to cause everyone in the avengers to get cancer.
>>85476604
>If Mjölnir was made of this material, it would certainly explain its incredible weight.
Then it would had it's own gravitational field and superman would had no problem lifting it.
I can forge a hammer in my workshop, doesn't mean the hammer is made of the workshop. Has it ever been shown that the hammer is actually made from a neutron star, not just forged within any old star
So this is getting a reprinting in September. It sold out in 2 weeks last time they reprinted it so just thought I'd let you /co/mrades know since I've seen it discussed here before. Excited to read it.

How do you feel about Black Mask, Killer Moth, Great White Shark and so many other me oracles baddies never showing up in BTAS?
>>85476160
Well, seeing as Oracle never showed up in BTAS, I don't think it's that much of an issue.
>>85476160
I like those guys, but they weren't essential to the show.
If you want to see some BT-style take on them, here's this:
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/sections/backstage/unused/main.php
>>85476160
I wish those guys appeared. Black Mask did show up in the Batman Adventures comics in 2003 or 2004 which took place after the series. Great White Shark wasn't created at the time of the animated series though.
Excuse my autism, but I usually by my comics on Amazon or LCS, but I see people talk about pic related, should I be buying here? I see they got The Amazing Spider-Man Ombius for $50 dollars.
Yeah they're great. You'll see a big improvement over Amazon's packaging
Only downside is you wait a bit longer to get your stuff compared to Amazon. Packaging is the best bar none, however.
>>85475921
The prices are better than Amazon, free shipping is better and cheaper.
Limited printings run out quickly and it usually takes a while to get things back in stock, and the searching can be awful.
You are now the director/writer for Adventure Time charged with leading the show to reach its full potential and restore it to its former glory as on of CN most profitable shows. You can't retcon anything already in the show, and you cant reboot the show all together. What would you do?
>>85475915
Make Finn grow up because dammit it is called Adventure Time with FINN and Jake. The guy is like what 17 and is still short as hell.
Copy and paste various fan fictions into a script and watch it burn.
>>85475915
I always felt that Finn needed some type of internal conflict about being a hero. Something more uprooting than that one story with Bill. Maybe he could gets an anti-hero rival, or maybe Bubblegum final dose something that Finn can just push aside.
Also I would like to see like to see more of the world outside of OOH.
>>85476223
Any specifics you have in mind comrade
So a Harley Quinn solo film is inevitable. What's the best way to make her newest character incarnation engaging and fleshed out enough to maintain a feature length film?
>>85475523
Kill her off in the first minutes and replace her with the new character Better Harley.
I liked her in Suicide Squad. Too bad Joker's shitty acting dragged her down.
So just keep her separate from Joker pls..
>>85475523
I could kind of see a Harley breaking up with or getting separated from Joker in the first act and the rest of the movie is finding/defining herself without him. But I can't even think of any Harley specific antagonists to put in the movie.SO HELP ME GOD IF YOU SAY RED TOOL.
