I could kind of see a Harley breaking up with or getting separated from Joker in the first act and the rest of the movie is finding/defining herself without him. But I can't even think of any Harley specific antagonists to put in the movie. SO HELP ME GOD IF YOU SAY RED TOOL.

Minimize her appearance in her own film. In Deadpool they had him just be Wade a lot, and gave him at least one straight man per scene, and often multiple straightmen.

Flash backs have been done to death thanks to SKWAD, so I'm not sure how to around that, but if you gave her Catwoman and Ivy as Straight Men, and made it, like a heist movie it could work.

Maybe she tells Catwoman theirs some fancy shit in a vault, and Ivy its a rare plant, but its actually the joker. And there's a liar revealed bit where they both realize she duped them, and Harley realizes she actually liked working with them a lot and has to choose between them and the joker?

Harley's obsessed with Joker. Joker abuses her. Film is about her being abused, taking it and loving it because she is a fucking crazy bitch.

Her being a crazy bitch also ruins many of her personal plans throughout the plan but plays into Joker's hand or something.
