I thought the latest Gwenpool issue was pretty good. Her team-up with Miles went to hell in a fun way. And it suddenly seems likely that she was transported to 616 as a result of Secret Wars.
I'm looking forward to the Holiday Special too, since that looks like it's going to be all about Gwen getting into hijinks with an odd assortment of people.
Also I'm happy to have Strychalski come back to sub for GuriHiru in the future now.

I'm glad that the upcoming Holiday Special seems to be focused on Gwen instead of treating her as an afterthought like the last one, but I'd still advise downloading it to be sure before buying it. Ryan North being a writer has me wary, and I'm not overly familiar with the other names aside from Hastings. With her lackluster appearance in RR&G I'm not excited about the prospect of other writers taking a shot at her.

Why aren't mainstream comics sold in grocery stores anymore? Why aren't digital comics marketed more heavily?
Comic books have supposedly been in a sales slump for ages now, and I'd be willing to bet a large part of that is the fact that the only way to get a comic in a store these days is to go to a LCS which has a massive stigma attached to it.
Archie's been going solid for decades, and I still see him on the shelf at checkout every time I go to the grocery. Why not Spider-man? Why not Superman?
You want sales? You want an audience that you don't have to piss off to get any kind of response? Make your comics visible to a general audience. It's pretty fucking simple.
Has DC or Marvel ever explained their idiotic behavior?

So, after re-watching Avatar to relive some of my childhood, I decided to try this out.
Wasn't a huge fan of the Korra Asami shit, not that I hate the AMAZING representation of gay couples being the best thing ever, but it just seemed so contrived and uninspired that its almost an insult to the people that have such an unwarranted boner for LGBT representation.
As for the actual story, I liked the 1920's New York theme of republic city but it kinda got old pretty fast for me. I got tired of seeing massive robots every 1.325 seconds. Also Korra may have been pretty successful as an Avatar but my god did she fuck up a LOT. I feel like the Red Lotus was the best the story ever got in terms of my personal interest and caring for the outcome.
Overall I rate it a 7.5/10. The gay couple stuff kinda saddened me because while I understand the message they were trying to send, it is no excuse for poor character development and obviously lazy writing.
Zaheer gets the show an extra point alone. bro character, would learn to fly with/10
