ITT: Cartoons where you have to pretend certain seasons didn't happen in order to consider the show great
>>93495650
Just say the show had some shitty seasons
You don't have to distort reality inside your head
I actually can't do it. Because of this the only shows I consider great are ones that lasted three seasons tops

X-Men TAS season 5
Did the Image founders fuck it up for other comic artists in America?
Nowadays, you never, ever see an artist's name out in front for a comic book. I can't help but think that part of that is because, when the top name superstar comics artists of the 80s/90s decided to do their own thing, to rebel against the corporate-owned publisher-dictated format of comics...
One made a toy company
One got married to a character who never made it above D-List
SEVERAL went back to doing work for hire for the big two
And one actually sold all the shit he created/ helped create on his own... to DC
You have a few of them who are actually in the nuts and bolts of the publisher as it exists today, but even then... look at the big Image books. People care about Saga because the Lost guy's name is on it. Robert Kirkman is the face of Walking Dead, not Charlie Adlard (or Tony Moore)
Will we ever see a comics artist who bucks this trend again? One who runs the show instead of being simply seen as the pictures guy? Is Mike Mignola doomed to be the last of his kind?
Really underplaying how much influence Jim Lee has at DC there. And did you miss DC's Dark Matter imprint being literally this?
The writer's name goes first because that's common sense, it's the first part of the creative process behind making a comic. Then it's drawn, inked, colored and finally printed (the editor is supposed to watch over this whole process).
>People care about Saga because the Lost guy's name is on it
That's because Staples didn't have much rep before Saga. And people do care about her, or have you missed all the coverage that refers to the comic as "Vaughan and Staples' Saga"?
>Robert Kirkman is the face of Walking Dead, not Charlie Adlard (or Tony Moore)
Because Adlard didn't create it and Moore left pretty early on.

>The writer's name goes first because that's common sense, it's the first part of the creative process behind making a comic
You'd think so, but many comics around the time were artist driven. Jim Lee's Psylocke, Liefeld and Cable, etc. Of course, that has gone out of fashion as artists are switched every five issues on modern books.
What if the X-Men were religious?
I don't see this thread going anywhere good.

I see you browse Reddit, too.

Who would be Gilgamesh in the series?
Young Moana is underrated.
Probably because teen moana is better
>>93495051
Too mainstream
>>93495039
There's another thing about that damn pig (not talking about Moana heh), she ages in the movie, the pig doesn't.

Otto returns tomorrow. I feel Slott is most passionate when writing Otto. Especially since Superior started. Everything with Peter, his supporting characters and his other enemies doesn't feel like they get as much effort from Slott. To the point where I wonder why he bothers? Stop trying to write Norman, Slott. It's not your strength. Stick to Otto.
Right Now Kapow was the best and funniest cartoon no one watched.
Disney seems to have quite a few shows that just get ignored.
It was good. Sad to see it go.

huh

yeah both of these look incredibly ugly, but I know from experience that means nothing in terms of its writing quality.. were these good?
Let's go!

>/co/ claims that they want theatrical 2d animation to make a comeback.

How do you think they're going to handle her?
So how do you think this will go? Seems to be a straight up adaptation of Storm and Fury.
Are they brave enough to handle the surreal way Hellboy is accepted as normal in his world?
