So, I have decided too invest about $250,000 USD in a small rural area where I can get good rental yields, and might increase in value over time (it's 2.5 hours away from major city) and it's next to the ocean. The homes cost 115k-170k and I can get 1200-1500 a month rent for them.

Should I buy 8 houses, or move to the UK and work in the trades, get into heavy equipment and start buying trucks?

I am not allowed to work in the USA, but I am allowed to stay invest / have citizenship etc.

There is always another moon coin. The problem is finding which one it is. Its like horse racing, spread your bets and hold your tickets tight.

They suggest that it is only worth it for a few fields. Some statistics from the college board suggest the average graduate student has lifetime earnings almost a million dollars more than someone with a bachelor degree. But this might be skewed by extremely successful, doctors, lawyers, and MBAs.

I don't know what to believe because it is hard to find lifetime earnings statistics for individual fields broken down by the type of degree. That seems like the only way to know if it's worth it.

>Some statistics from the college board suggest the average graduate student has lifetime earnings almost a million dollars more than someone with a bachelor degree.

You don't compare the same population if you do this.Someone just barely getting a bachelor's degree isn't of the same capacity as someone finishing, not just getting into, a PhD program. This is actually a pretty big problem in econometrics. You face a similar dilemma if you want to know if college makes a difference in lifetime earnings.

Friendly reminder that ETH is going to crash hard. As a long term investment I still think it looks good, but shit will hit the fan and its gonna need a whole lot of cleaning up before it gets back to $30.

Expect sub $20 prices in a day or two.

Geez, people dont care about stocks on here anymore. Guess everyone's all in ETH
>>
Im interested, but Im also new (jumped in on the ETH train). This looks enticing though.

What is the best way to pick up stocks in this?

The only thong Im nervous about as a newbie however is our decline in birthrates might also mean a decline in value for companies geared towards children. I dont really know though... thoughts?
>>
I hear you. Although I think that what you said is overweighed by the fact that they are very undervalued.

I bought it from ScottTrade....I pretty much only keep an account there to buy OTC stocks.

I work at a small company of 17 people.
We're 8 men and 9 women.
Of the men 4 are in the office maybe 3 times a month.
End all "women own the workplace" at my company.

I think it sucks. They speak rudely over email and over the phone with clients. Dress horribly. More than half are fat. Will try to bring you down to make themselves look better. Etc.

Can anyone here relate?

Here's a simple app that I've built. It tells you how much you can spend. Just set recurrent income date and expenses and you're good to go.

Here's App Store link if interested: https://itunes.apple.com/app/spend-today/id1195580072?mt=8

It was something I often worried about as a student; hope it can help some people here.

An application like this would only increase my spending i assume, so i am not interested, however i think the market exists. Mostly among young (15 - 22) people. Good job and good luck with marketing.
>>
Very nice looking app mate,

Out of curiosity from somebody who has 0 clue on how to even get started with making an app, where would you start to gain the knowledge?

You have a real profitable demographic for this type of app

Do I complete a Finance major with a Mathematics minor at a state school (with a 3.8-3.9 GPA) in 3 years (two more years) or transfer to a top 30 school/lower Ivey school and complete an Economics/Finance with a quantitative minor (maybe double major) in 4 years?

Keep in mind the state school is top 100 on most US college rankings.

What's your GPA on the second option?

Don't worry about completing shit in 3 years. Take an extra year to get that to a 4.0.

>>1857927
doesnt matter. do what you want, party and finish
>>
>>1857927
you can prob do it in three yrs if you take summer courses
dont forget university requirements
if you go for mathematics major i dont think youd get an analysts job, more like a quant or math engineer
