Yes, it will take more electricity as it runs drawing more power for longer. It depends on your actual energy price. It is profitable and has been profitable for me at an average of 12c/kWh to where I get a 1000% return on that. It's not bitcoin or ETH though, that's for sure. Look to different coins.
Looks like the rockets are a rumblin'.
Might be able to regain some of today's bloodshed with this thing.

Those of us with some brains (I know there are a few people here who follow the same strategy) buy ethereum with a set amount of dollars, periodically. I throw in 100 quid/biweekly, and been doing it for move than a year. I don't even look at the price, I got a two year timeframe (based on ethereum research roadmap) in mind.

Sup /biz/ so I jumped on this crypto chain at the start of this bubble and made a lot from chasing ripple, dgb and eth at the start and managed to get out with a good bit of profit but it seems pretty clear this run is all coming an end now until the next boom begins.
So I saw this picture and It seems ridiculous to me now looking at it but It got me thinking there must of been similar price prediction shit floating around in the past years so I'm wondering if there's any oldfags in this crypto game that have any old screencaps or images of the prices people predicted for the big coins in 2017 or before, be interesting to see how accurate they actually ended up being.

Anons, let me be clear, i am a very smart person. I posses a medical degree, a PHD on neurosurgery, i swear, there is no joke on my words. I feel now a profound feeling of disappoint on myself, what in this world i was thinking on making money this way?
After all this year of study, research and work as a doctor and just a bunch of kids tell me to buy x coin and x coin and think about x coin because it´s gonna be pumped or whatever, i just spend almost 40% of my honestly earned money, 9 years of hard work as a doctor, wasted... to the garbage can.
All because a bunch of jew chinese kids and this "meme" thing...
I came home after a long weekend on this medical conference, check Poloniex.... dem bags so heavy now... Soo heavy in my ego specially in my ego... i dont deserve even to breath.
All my future plans down... the clinic, the project with the colleagues... all down. Please God end this nightmare.
Anyway i wont sell this utopy, i think there is almost nothing to sell... i wont enter that PoloNightmare anymore for the rest of 2017.
