Jericho's latest WWE run started at the 2016 Royal Rumble this past January, and he admitted to The LAW in a recent interview that it was orignally only supposed to last four months.

> "I have a very close working relationship with Vince McMahon and neither one of us expected this," Jericho said. "Both of us would like to sit back and think we were the be all, end all wise oracles that predicted this. I will tell you this, my original plan when I came back last January was to stay until WrestleMania, four months. Then, it started going so good, I re-signed I think until July and then I re-signed until October and then I re-signed until November.

I've got a certain time frame in mind but I can't even say that because what was supposed to be four has already been ten because I am smart enough to know this. I've been doing this for a long time and to have - like you said, this could be my best run, though I still like think my 2008 Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Big Show might have been better but if it was, it's not by far. This could be the best run I've ever had and at 45 years old, ten years ago, you would think that was old. Now, the Stones are still killing it at 74 years old so as long as physically I can go and still basically look the part, I don't really put any limits on age or anything like that. I can still go out there and have the best match of the show on any given night and I'm working with guys that are 10-15 years younger that don't feel that."

On episode 110 of Sam Roberts' Wrestling Podcast, WWE SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan talked about whether he enjoys Talking Smack, what he seeks to accomplish with the program, and WWE Superstars do not speak their minds.

Bryan said that there are times that he enjoys Talking Smack, but sometimes he hears on his earpiece that he should not have been saying certain things.

>"Sometimes, yeah. I mean, sometimes, I just say things and then, sometimes in my earpiece it's like, 'why are you saying that?' And then, it's like, 'oh…'"

>Bryan added, "so my thing with Talking Smack is, I want our talent to look really good. So for example, Baron Corbin was on the show, not last week, but the week before, he was awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It did great and the key is the show is not about Renee [Young] and I, like, we're just hosts - we're just there to bring stuff out of people, to help them."

According to Bryan, performers used to speak their minds in past generations because they could threaten to leave, but that does not happen anymore.

>"The reason why guys could do that before, like, say in The Attitude Era, because it's like, 'yeah, fire me - I'll go to WCW' or in The Territory Era, 'yeah, fire me - I'll go to a million different places,' right? Now, 'fire me - actually, please don't fire me.' Literally, I've been doing this since I was 18 [years old]. I don't know how to do anything else."

The concept of cutting promos in between the Royal Rumble match is fucking atrocious and idiotic. Only smarks would love shit like that, which is why you see this kinda crap in the indies. What Punk was doing was total smark catering nonsensical garbage. Its good thing, Haitch quickly ended it.
