Found a shiny imposter ditto, but it died using memento. I'm using choice scarf for my grimer, and a heal pulse taunt smeargle now. I feel like shinies are not so rare when chaining is this easy :/, only chain I had trouble with was regenerator mareanie.

First was a Gible hatched during breeding

In the story only Beast Balls work on UBs. Capturing UBs on anything other than BBs is non-canon. Like any non-mandatory legendary capture in every other game.

Not really, his physical movepool consists of brave bird, wild charge, and u-turn. If you want a physical one, most recommend just running naive with brave bird.
