What figures do you think are underrated/overrated, /pdg/?
Keldeo is pretty garbage outside of water teams but it is pretty decent with Manaphy's boost, combined with an ability that powers it up to 91/80 or higher dark energy teams
Kirlia/Garde are overrated imo. The meta has crept past them power-wise and Shuppet isn't the presence that it once was (Mew everywhere, Long throw, etc) and the change in team comps where most top decks are rigidly adhering to an archetype

Why do people deny that nostalgia is only reason Gen 1 is the most popular? Is there another non-subjective factor or do Kanto cocksuckers just refuse to admit that they're wrong?

Least amount of handholding and more exploration compared to every other region aside from Johto and the designs are the best.

I think there is a lot more freedom while exploring Kanto. After leaving the Rock Tunnel, you can either try the 4th gym or proceed with the story. After getting the Pokeflute, you're totally free to go to Saffron of Fuchsia and then maybe to Cinnabar Island. You can literally do things in the order you choose, which you can't really in other games.
