Create a smaller, more compact region, but make it deep; New locations open up as you acquire new ways to move around the overworld.

To this end, let's create a centralized hub town that the player starts at and returns to again multiple times throughout the story. The town and all its residents change when certain points in the game are reached.

Also, Pokemon never really had any sidequests to speak of. Let's fix this with a centralized location that gives them out, like PMTYD's Trouble Center. That way we could actually give NCPs some personality of their own and make the world feel more lived-in.

I never played it to begin with.

It came out, people actually played it, and most people realized the game itself wasn't actually very fun.

Also local multiplayer on the Wii U version, the only one that exists in the west, is retarded.

I can't even bother myself to turn on my Wii U. I can't remember the last time I played it.

My TV in my room only has one HDMI port and I have to keep switching between my box and my Wii U if I want to use one or the other and well as turning the Wii U one every time.

OP or not, it's definitely unfair with its type based damage. My suggestion for balancing:

Spikes and Toxic Spikes affect everything except for fliers and those with levitate. So why not have SR do the opposite? Hit only fliers and levitators for a set health percentage, equal to 2 layers of spikes, perhaps?

I actually liked it.
Kinda wish the main storyline had those BGs and scripts in the battle scene.

It was a great addition that easily added a dozen or so hours of playtime if you wanted to go through the whole thing.
