THE RULES:
>The starters must have their own niches - not just doing another starter's thing better (e.g. no Speed Boost Infernape)
>You can change type, HA, stats and movepool, but only in ways that make sense for the design
>BST boosting is allowed (up to 540)
>Restrain your urge to minmax too hard. The unused attack stat shouldn't ever go below 70.
>No Huge Power or special snowflake abilities. Try not to push them into Ubers.
Once you're done, post a suggested set for the new and improved starter.
There might be a few hopeless cases like Meganium, but do what you can.

I'm sad I didn't get to have enough time to finish playing yellow to set up my Kanto x Alola team. But yeah, it didn't add much more variety.
You can play VGC anytime in the regular championships ladder, what's even the point of a 3-day limited-battle ladder with the exact same rules?
That doesn't stop me from enjoying these, though. I barely play competitively otherwise.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even bother with these competitions if it weren't for the megastones, still not the biggest fan of doubles.
Just feels weird to me that the competition that gives out the 3rd gen starter stones isn't Hoenn vs. Alola or something similar.
There's just not enough variety available right now, especially if you want to have a shot at winning your matches.
